I've had my DH for just about a year now and just the other day I pulled up to a stop sign and when I pulled away the RPM's went through the roof car jerked and engaged the gear. 1st time it did that but scared the crap out of me.
Better get it checked out. Does it jerk into gear from park?

No, and it's the first time it ever happened.
You're still under warranty? Check out Flying Wrenches on you tube. The CDF Drum and outer shell are still having issues on the 10 speed

All of these symptoms dealing with the tables, harsh or unusual shifting, could be a hard part failure but it can also manifest with an improperly filled transmission. Even the harsh park to D or R or R to D.

I was told the same thing when I purchased the 2024. Clearly that is not the case, since the 24 is doing the exact same thing as the 22. Literally the exact same symptoms. I'm waiting on the official diagnosis from dealership, but it definitely seems like it's the CDF Drum and probably the valve body

Well, the channel you referred to said it and they work on many 10r80's.

He didn't say anything bad about the updated 10r80. He only stated that he saw many flaws before the update. So there is some nuance in this story.

Could have been an older transmission since my car was an early 24. I bought a 22 brand new transmission failed catastrophically at 32k miles after 5 'repairs' related to transmission, including the relearn, pump, valve body , etc..... now the 24 is doing same thing. Friend of mine has a 22 f250 with godzilla motor, and his transmission is doing the same thing. The dealership is full of vehicles with A10 problems. I don't think Ford made the correction, or a few slipped through

My DH has a build date of 9/23
It could be affected despite the fact that Ford supposedly corrected the issue. Dealership just called me and advised they were putting a brand new transmission in my car. Don't know eta of the part, but they've already approved the entire replacement.

My GT did that a few months back when applying throttle from a stop. >0.5 sec delay from input then massive over revving followed by lurching then earth quake-like trans engagement with a shuddering drop in rpm to the point it nearly caused my car to stall out while making a left turn across traffic. It felt like a 15 yr old trying to drive a manual for the first time 😅😖

I would recommend having your transmission checked. That's what warranty is for. I love everything about this car except the A10(exceptwhen it works right). I have a bad leg from motorcycle accident ( killed my Hayabusa), so the manual isn't an option for me.
