That’s the best thing about turbos!! I couldn’t imagine Whipple where it could damage the whole engine whereas turbo uses stock tune!! One word is “Awesome”, I will probably go the same way as yours!
What.

The only thing saving this engine at this point is the ECU dumping all the fuel its allowed to in an attempt to keep the engine from leaning out from all the additional airflow.

If I put a whipple on my car with a giant pulley and only made 1psi at peak, I could do that on a stock tune just like you're saying.

However, right now if I went with Whipple, I'd still be able to drive my car without a legitimate concern of my engine grenading because its untuned and there's no way to safely run any amount of boost.

I don't understand why OP did this at this time, as the car has no potential until its tuned.

Thanks for your post, I had thought the Whipple would grenade if we aren’t careful with the gas pedal! I maybe assuming the supercharger I had on my 2003 Cobra would be completely different with the supercharger nowadays? Am I wrong or right?
What are you even talking about

Because I could…. Car isn’t gonna see any “60-130” pulls or track, I can simply drive the car around town across country if I please, cruising isn’t gonna effect the car,

it’s not my daily or my go to race car for the weekend as I have a 1400whp car for that fun,

I simply done it at this time to stay a step ahead the day tuning is available rather then putting the kit on after , I’ll take 1 day out and install the fuel system load the tune and make 1000+whp and go have fun with it,

yes I could of bought a Whipple or roush, and go the same times everyone is doing as they are in the same boat “limited” to what they can do… am not trying to be the “worlds fastest s650” as everyone is trying to accomplish on a base roush or whipple tune

it’s just something different you know

Oh yes, that I understand, it’s the freedom and the “right” we have too to do anything with our own cars!

Curious if there is a install video anywhere or parts list? I'm too broke to do it, I just like watching it and learning more about it 😌

Finished up the turbo install on my Darkhorse.
What does something like this take in terms of price and man hours? I imagine there is a lot of custom fitting and cutting, correct?
