I have once again made a liar out of myself and did what I said I wouldn’t. I guess the name grew on me over time so here I am. I have needed to get back down to three so I did a two-for-one trade yesterday for this new Dark Horse. I haven’t been able to drive it yet due to cold temps and wet roads but at least I got it home and tucked in the garage. I do like me a black Mustang and I’m familiar with the Tremec so I’m happy with that. I think I’ll be good with the HP; I do like the look of the spoiler, splitters and wheel/tire package that come with it. Definitely kind of a threatening look overall. Hopefully I can adjust to the Recaros. Can’t wait to put it on the road. The weather doesn’t usually stay bad long here.

Say, is the lower temp limit with these Trofeos about like PS4s, around 45*? What about damp roads?

Pant, pant, pant! 😍

Damp roads @ 45F or below? NP, "depending" on how "mature" you are with the traction control on the end of your right leg! Just sayin...........................

I was under the impression it was composition not composure that determined the < 40/45 limit

Look like a twin to my car. You are going to love it. Mine is also tucked away for the winter. Now if you want to have some real fun put a Whipple super charger on it. I did and it's a blast with the Tremec.

HA! Guess I’m gonna have to learn the secret handshake!

That is, right after I learn how to use the darn parking brake. It seems erratic to me and just when I think I finally got it off it just wants to blink at me.

at 33, and around 50-52F I left for the gym in the morning and the psi went steadily down to about 30 from my garage, starting about 3 minutes in, lasting the 15 minutes for the ride. :-)

I wouldn’t push them period. In fact, were I you I’d have them swapped for the pilot 4s’s ASAP, and save up for another set of wheels in the mean time. I got 1500 good street miles out of the Pirellis and at that point the traction started dropping like a stone. at about 2800 miles, I went to pass someone on I410 in San Antonio, nailed it from 60mph and spun like mad. Was about 85F outside. MDH is powerful, but not that powerful. I nursed them another 900 miles and was glad to be rid of them. They were fantastic for the first 1000 miles, without question. Excellent another 500 miles, very good another 300 or so, good for another few hundred.

I think I had them out one time below 50, was about 48-ish, I didn’t find them any worse per se, but at that point I already had almost 3000 miles on them so they weren’t at their best.

Thanks, yeah those 315/30s are some pretty serious meats for sure! It’s killing me to not be able to get out and try ‘em out at least a little. But I just checked the temps and it’s 30* now with a 42* high around lunch but only for an hour then back down again. Unusual for N. GA but it’s going on for several days. I‘m not a scaredy cat but just flat don’t know enough about these Trofeos to risk wadding it up. They delivered it to my house so at least it’s home.

Damn, that is one sharp looking vehicle. I imagine you are really going to enjoy it. The tighter gearing of the Tremec over the MT Transmission is worth it alone. I'm betting your gonna have on big sh!t a$$ grin on your face when you get to really drive it. :like::clap:
