I do not know how long it's been available. I know it wasn't available when the stage 2 update came out, but there is a version 2 calibration for the Whipple stage 1 available now. I replied to my original e-mail from Whipple and asked if there was an update and they replied with a new file and instructions.

Is it actually different?

You could compare the md5 or sha1 to see

Yes, the .bins are different. The file updated my flash tool before it updated my previous tune flashed last June.

On the stage 2 it changed a lot in trans tuning, shift rpm, holding gears longer and throttle input response.
Is this an update for stage 2? Do you have to contact Whipple or is it available from the website?

Anyone do a dyno video with both tunes yet?

@ISLAND DARK HORSE

depends when you got your files, but just fill out a tune rec form and they’ll send the update tune…

I got my kit last summer, update was EIY like November iirc

Just flashed the new update and put a few miles on it. Definitely a lot more blower whine and seems like it’s more peppy and getting into boost faster. Throttle is improved and shifts are faster

I think because it’s hitting boost a little faster it has more noise. Mine was dead quiet before but now it has a little more. Not night and day but it’s more pronounced at lower RPM just driving around like normal

Makes sense, stage 1 is 50 state and warranty 1st, so you can’t really spice it up too much

I figured that would be case. I would assume if it were to have picked anything up, it would have probably been through the curve not peak. I’ll take the smoother shifting as win
