Appreciate the update, Steve.
At least that puts to rest the last rumored date of 4th Sep, tomorrow! :curse:
I suppose with all the Production Delays, the earlier scheduling for our ADR / Homologation compliance Approvals was bound to be derailed - which would have had a domino effect of delays.

Sorry to spoil the party, however best to finally have some official update, as he is the guy who informs the Media.

Judging by the Au "Gen 3 Supercars", (which are supposedly reflective of the road car appearance), White Tail lights should be continued into the MY24.
Acknowledging the Supercars, but I'd wager (with a bit of hoping & praying!) we'll get the rear indicators as per the RHD prototype.

It's still another SKU, but there is no reason Ford would have spent extra coin in developing a different rear light assembly where the lower 1/4 is amber sequential. It would have been cheaper to retain the US housing, and swap out red LEDs for amber and a clear lens, but they didn't.

I'd expect Ford are aware that sequential indicators are a "thing" these days, and would have similar appeal as the cockpit screens.

If the ADR / Homologation Certification and Specifications won't be finalised until early October, the Delay Domino Effect will probably have implications delaying the scheduled Oct-Nov Build dates, as presumably Ford can't schedule to build cars when the Specs are uncertified and unknown. I don't think there is usually much production in December, so it could be Nov & Jan.

And on top of that is the looming UAW industrial action, and Panama Canal restrictions!
Worst case, first arrivals could be May-June.

Plus the additional risk of on-route destruction from exploding Virtue-Signaller Evs on the Ship!

I just find it strange that Australia is delayed on homologation when NZ managed to get theirs done months ago.

Lets hope this means we get more options than their measly offerings!
Agreed! They have to throw us a bone for this torture they are putting us through. I put in my order Jan2022. At this rate if I finally get a car next year it's going to be after more than 2 years of waiting. I think I need a patience award or something from them.

Lets hope we don't Loose any features we have been getting with the FN - like Active Exhaust, 401A, Performance Pkg. Then it would be an FU from me!

2024.5 S650 GT Manual in Vapor Blue,
I just ordered my car & it should still be in the first allocation. I believe it is with the same dealer as Stevefreestyle. Couldn't wait any longer for pricing!
GT, 6M, (Hopefully PP & Active Exhaust), Vapor Blue, Black Pack, Magneride, Red Brembos.

Congratulations! It will be well worth the 50.5+ years wait!

I got sick of waiting for Pricing & Specs too (although I made the contract Subject to Acceptable Pricing, Features & Specs). So it was Gateway Ford Wollongong ?

Just curious, did the Red Brembos come standard with the Magneride?

Strange how many mixed messages each dealer is giving people regarding orders. In theory; the official line is “there is no real info, still just need to wait”

so hearing some people getting different advice; my dealer is sticking to the “we have no idea about our allocations so can’t give you any concrete statements”

all I asked is; will they allocate stock based on the date people placed an order. Which I was told yes (and that just about every sale person had placed an order for a dark horse so unlikely for anyone off the street to get 1 in the first round of stock.
