Looks like Atlas Blue is gone too šŸ˜³
Iā€™m glad I ordered the Atlas Blue back on February 19, 2024.
Drove it home on May 17, 2024.
Ford,
How difficult is it to add some COOL COLORS that your customers want?
Looks like the Color scheme for the 2025 Mustang is very generic, to say the least.

It wasnā€™t a lot and took a couple weeks of waiting, but just shopped around the entire country really. I got an offer under MSRP from a dealership out of the state and brought it to a dealership near me and in a couple weeks they called me back and agreed. Tbf, the dark horse they had had been sitting there for at least 3 months. But from what I can, thatā€™s just the case with most 2024 models, they arenā€™t selling so dealers are starting to offer a lot of MSRP.
Gotcha. That's very surprising and you are very fortunate if they really did that for you. I am still a little skeptical though.

When I was in the market only ONE dealer in the entire state of Arizona was selling at MSRP. Every other dealer was marked up. Even though some dealers were willing to sell at MSRP, they padded the price elsewhere. Not by much but still it was mandatory that those "add-ons" be paid for.

I held out for my preferred dealer (the only ONE that did not have ANY markups or ANY fake fees) hoping that an allocation would open up. I was very fortunate that one did. There's a reason why they are #1. I won't buy anywhere else now.

yes, im very grateful for the dealership that I got. It's hard to find a dealership that is trustworthy these days. It takes a lot of luck and patience, so I wish 2025 buyers good luck, especially with those price increases and mark ups. Hope you're enjoying your DH!

lol, I just asked the same thing of Roket on another Thread. Hope there is still a couple of months to order a MY24 with Atlas Blue.
I'm in Australia and believe it or not, but we are only just getting our first batch of S650s. 2 year wait from release and a lot of orders are for the discontinued 2024 colours. There are orders in the system hence why I was wondering if these will be filled or switched to the 2025 ones?

I'm also in Australia, ordered 03 Nov and am still awaiting an Allocation!

The My24 has not even hit the ground here yet, due to recurring delays in RHD "Export" Production, and now the US MY25 can't be far off Production.

Unfulfilled Orders are usually automatically switched to the next Model Year, so if your chosen colour has been deleted, your only options are either choose another colour or cancel.

I am also concerned that I could miss-out on the MY24 Mustang, as Atlas Blue has insanely been dropped from the MY25 - with no equivalent alternative offered (like Velocity Blue), and there are no other even remotely acceptable colours for me, so I will probably have to cancel.

Yeah, it's a strange state of affairs outside of the North America. Most of the world haven't even had the chance to sit in a S650 or see one for real to make an educated decision on colour choice, and they've taken the colours away already.

Foolishly, I was confident that they'd not remove any colours for '25 as some markets have had so little chance to order them (we're basically still in a preorder state in the UK right now, for example), but they clearly know better.

You would be wrong with that opinion.
I have not driven a Mach1, but other people that did claim that the DH is the best yet. Here is a youtube review by a guy who has driven all mustang models and his take on the DH.

Hey whatever. Watch the Throttle House video where they drive them back to back and prefer the Mach. We can play that game all day. Iā€™d agree the DH might be a little better because of the extra HP and revised steering, but wouldn't agree to ā€œmuch betterā€. At least not 29% more expensive better. None of the measured tests of any performance metric are 29% better. Hell, aftermarket suspension parts for the S550ā€™s fit the S650ā€™s.

So Iā€™ll change my original thought to same car with 20 more HP and add better steering.

The consensus across the board is that the DH is a better car than the MACH1. It's not the same car with different badges and an additional 20HP (plus better steering). A lot went into the car to improve aero which improves handling.

While Thomas (not James) from TH preferred the transmission in the MACH1 over the DH that doesn't imply he liked the car better. The MACH1 was lighter with the seat delete (and who knows what else given that they never said it was stock like the DH was they were comparing it too) and that helped make the car "feel" lighter, but the lap times tell a different story. And this is just on the track.

Steeda did an autocross comparison and the driver noted that it handled like a MACH1 (with handling pack) but better. If you look at the HP and TRQ curves you can clearly see why they preferred the DH over both the MACH1 and the GT-350.

The DH is hands downs a better car than the MACH1 and it is no trivial matter on how it got there. Does this mean people should sell their MACH1 and get the DH, no. It's not a revolutionary product nor was it ever intended to be but it is more refined and for some people it is worth the improvement. If you also prefer the looks and features of the DH (which I do) then it becomes a no brainer.

Wow love that dyno overlay, hadnā€™t seen that before. Wonder why the DH seemed to show much less parasitic loss than the other two. šŸ¤”

All I know is this from C&D Lightning Lap:

2021 Mach 1 manual: 2:51.4
2024 DH automatic: 2:51.2

Virtually identical. Same car, different badges (and tires and transmission).

The fact the GT350 and Mach 1 remain benchmarks for sports cars is a strong argument for the Dark Horse. It's a refined platform, and all three cars are future classics.

Yes, arbitrarily removing popular colours before the world market has had access seems totally irrational and pointless.

I wonder what genius is responsible for making the product LESS universally attractive, desireable and saleable - DEI?

And overnight the Mustang's USP is gone...
USP? Nevermind just saw the post above mine.

They're going to sell Dark Horses every year from now on, right? I don't see those becoming "collectible". I do see the Mach 1 being collectible, just like the 2003/2004 iterations are still selling for ridiculous numbers compared to their original cost.
