2024 Mustang Australia (AU) Pricing and Timing Schedule

Hi all, I've been lurking for a while but just decided to register. I had a conversation with my dealership yesterday that wasn't great.

I ordered a GT with black pack and Magneride back in November 2023. They told me that if I wanted the replacement bronze pack, my current order would be cancelled by Ford and I'd go to the back of the queue and start again. They estimated the car would arrive around the end of next year if I went ahead with this.

I told them I was astounded that Ford would do this. They essentially said FoMoCo doesn't care about a small market like Australia and that we get what were given because they look after the US first and foremost.

Has anyone else been given the same info?

Of course Merica first because they want short term revenue. All ford dealers in US are franchised they don't care if the dealers mustang orders get sold or not because the franchisee paying ford upfront costs on bulk orders.

Well sadly I’ve cancelled my order. The dealership I went through today advised that they can’t get anymore manuals…. who knows if that’s accurate. BUT luckily after ringing around Melbourne found an Oxford white manual with Recaros.

Do you actually receive the third email from Ford which tells you the vehicle is onboard the ship. I have received the second email for some time that told me the vehicle had been built and left Flat Rock plant for transporation , however, there had been no subsequent udpate.

I haven't received the "shipped" email from Ford either, but I think it's because my car is actually still in Baltimore waiting to get on a ship. Ask your dealer for a screenshot of the order in Vista. That will show you where the car is, and whether it's on a ship or not. I'll be getting such an update again this week to see where mine is at.
