Have you tried a face to face with the General manger at the dealer? If not, that is the best starting point. Way harder to avoid someone who wants a face to face meeting.
From a legal standpoint it will be very hard to prove this without before and after photos. Yes, you know they did this and...
There are a lot of unknowns here. Lenders can require a device such as this under certain circumstances and bury the disclosure within the finance documents that nobody has (or takes) the time to read and ultimately get signed.
I hope the OP figures this out.
Edit - Too many unknowns here to...
1. Have you received any alerts?
2. Were you provided any info on this system?
3. If this was for your benefit the dealer should have walked you through the setup process such as they do for FordPass.
4. Odds are this if for tracking purposes only (Repo).
5. Additional concerns due to them...
I enjoy reading trending threads on this forum including the banter and wit they invoke.
I now feel inclined to do one of the following:
A. Grab a drink (Bourbon), go to the garage and kick the tires on my Mustang while cursing Ford.
B. Grab a drink (Bourbon), go to the garage, stare at my...
That is considerable worse than the first video you posted. Definitely something wrong. Agree with what others are saying i.e., oil leaking past the valve seals appears to be the issue.
This will probably be a frustrating ordeal however, it can and will be fixed. I would get it in to a competent...
I've seen several videos of the blue smoke on startup. To me yours looks more white than blue i.e., more like condensation.
Also, it appears you changed your exhaust system. If so, how long ago?
Ford had an issue with the left-hand side cylinder head which "apparently" only affected 11 vehicles manufactured over a 3 day period between Jan. 30th - Feb. 1st. Yours is outside of that timeline for sure. Is this issue really only related to 11 vehicles... hard to say.
Are you sure it's blue...
It appears you have the battery maintainer connected directly to the battery which is bypassing the battery management system. If so, I suggest relocating to this location (green arrow).
My friend, you are way overthinking this. Adding oil when warm only helps the oil drain down to the oil pan faster. You can certainly add small amounts when cold. If you do so on a cold engine you'll need to wait a lot longer than 15 minutes prior rechecking.
FYI - There is no way a "dipstick...
A couple comments...
1. The GT PP includes an engine oil cooler.
2. MagneRide is an option not part of the PP.
3. I believe others have stated this.... Tire size? Depends on whether you're comparing a DH w/HP vs. DH to a GT PP.
4. Not mentioned but.... Active Exhaust is an option regardless of...
TheGrabberBlue - You've taken the worst case scenario road without any evidence pointing to an issue.
1. You can safely add small amounts of oil at a time until you get the level up to the top dot (not maximum). There is absolutely no harm in doing so. If you choose to do this do so on a warm...
I had the same issue occur approx. 2 weeks ago when backing into my garage. Had to turn ignition off and restart a few times to get the guide lines to reappear. This was after the backup camera screen failed to appear when in reverse. To reiterate, first no camera, then no guide lines...
I assume it must be something along that line of reasoning. I'm not one who usually writes things off without something definitive. I was left with no choice in this case.
Around the 150 - 200 mile mark I noticed a smell of burning plastic or maybe rubber. I didn't notice it until I got out of the vehicle after a short drive (no burn outs or real hard driving). The window of "miles" this occurred was relatively short. Gone by the 300 mile mark +/- which is where I...
