I see more and most posts (as well as advertisements from a well known BMW auto broker) about getting 5-6% off MSRP on G87 M2s. It makes it more challenging to justify the DH unless that comes down in price.

I think my picks for the following price segments (based on actual market selling prices) are:

$60-65k: G87 M2
$70-80k: C8 Z51
$90-100k: 718 Cayman GTS 4.0
I just know that every day that goes by the happier I am that I switched from an m3 to the Darkhorse. It just offers a much better driver's engagment with the v8/tremec and same handling.
Even if the m2 costed 10k less I would still prefer the DH in the long run.

sorry Fran, you can't. They start at 110 and good luck finding one with so few options that they are less than 120. Sure you can order one, but who orders a complete stripper. no one.
I'll pull the site when I find it, the one I was looking at was 103K

And last the I checked you were not getting in a 718 GTS for 100K either. But Porsches gouging might have calmed down, I have not look at that recently.

I am on the Bimmer forums...only 1 guys who got an M2 for 6% off that I know of through a broker Also you had to travel out of state which I didn't want to do and the cost of shipment now negates any discount. I got 2% off plus my Veteran discount of $500 I was happy and it was a dealer only 1 hr away here in Cali.

BTW, this dyno has to be an outlier.

Cali? there's your problem. In the real world I can get over 6% off any BMW in dealer stock anywhere within 100 miles of Maryland.

Once again...how do I get the car back to Cali? You're right though, I bought my first Porsche from a dealer in Cleveland buried in snow. I actually got 9% off of MSRP which more than made up the cost of shipping. BMW dealers here don't keep a lot of BMW M2s on the lots. If there is a car readily available on the lot its usually a car that was ordered by a customer and the customer didn't take delivery. That is whats nice about these cars, if you like the way they look, is that you don't see yourself coming and going all the time.

I'm not sure you can get it back to Cali. Lots of our local dealers won't (or can't) sell to you guys. Or so they say.

Its because of dealing with Cali DMVs.

To be honest I love my mustang, v8 na. My E 39 M5 crank hp was 394. So they said, would spank my gt on the hyway. That car was ridiculous. Top speed was 175 lol.

In Germany you can get up to 23% off if you're willing to get your car licensed through a different company. You buy the car through a 'local' BMW dealer but for the first 6 months the car is registered for said company (you're driving it though).
However, for whatever reason the mustang is crazy expensive whereas his competitors are mich cheaper in Europe...

What does that mean? A car licensed through a different company? You don't own it? Registered to whom? Makes no sense.
