Now if UPS could just find the package with the 800 USD worth of Obsessed Garage stuff I'd actually be a happy camper!

2020 F150 4x4 Limited. 2024 GT Mustang Premium. Both in Rapid Red.
July 20th and 21st I spent the afternoon putting my S550 up for sale on Marketplace, Auto Trader and the Mustang Group I belong to on Facebook.

Once I had a more realistic idea of the value, based on a midway point between what I was looking for and what the dealership was offering, I think I had it dailed in as there have been 500+ clicks on my S550 on Marketplace since Saturday night.

Going to meet up with a guy tomorrow (July 22nd) who will take a look at the car and then if we decide to proceed will meet him later in the week at a police station for a test drive. Where I live it is smart to meet someone in a secure place, especially since this isn't a Honda Civic. Get a photo of his drivers license and also get him on camera getting into the car and driving it for liability sake.

For those who think that may be overkill I refer you to Tim Bosma trial hears he was shot in truck, then burned | Globalnews.ca

That happened 30 mins from where I live back a few years ago and that was over a pickup truck, not a Mustang. Crazy things happen and it really shook up southern Ontario. Now it is very uncommon to meet anyone for a high end car anywhere but a public, neutral and secure place.
Over KILL?
I don’t think so. I think that was a very wise decision on your part.
If a person doesn’t want to meet you at the police station, then that’s a red flag in my opinion.

Today is the day! Dropped her off for the Whipple Stage 1 install as well as a few other things to prep for the road trip this summer.

Heard good things about these guys so let's see how it all pans out!

Boo, just noticed my 20" rims with the 285/35R20 front tires are popping the little plugs that hold the fender flares in place on the upper corner closest to the front of the car.

Guess it was a bridge too far to hope that an already low car, lowered an additional 0.8" with aftermarket springs and then adding 20" wheels, would not have issues. Then going and adding an extra 150lbs on the front with the Supercharger.

Who was the dumbass who did that? Oh wait, that would be me! Time for options!

what about going to a 275 front tire? Would that tuck it in enough to miss the flares?

I've been thinking about doing that very thing. It's only like 0.3" smaller diameter of a tire.

I'm not tire expert, but hopefully that is your cheapest option. Your darkhorse looks fantastic and supercharged only makes it that much better. Good luck!

Thank you! Yes, it does get a LOT of attention on the street and I do love these 20" VF10s however I can't be peeling the fender flares pins off every time I hit the brakes :)

Maybe the guys at @VELGEN WHEELS can provide a recommendation on the front tires? Everything else about them is fine!

FRONT: 285/35R20
REAR: 315/35R20

I'm not supercharged, but I am running Velgen VF5 with 275/35/20 and 305/35/20 with Steeda Progressive magnaride springs. I have not put a ton of miles on with this combo as I just finished the install, but I have not noticed any rubbing on the fenders (knock on wood).

Your GT doesn't have the Fender Flares of a Dark Horse. I'm talking about this area. Ford replaced these on both sides this week when the supercharger was installed and now this one seems to be missing. Not sure if it's popping out or if my 285/35R20 are rubbing under braking or acceleration or maybe just bumps?

For those looking to go route I did;

- Dark Horse with HP
- Steeda Sport Progressive Lowering Springs
- 20x10 Front Wheels (any brand really)
- 285/35R20 front tires (Nitto NT555 G2)

BE WARNED!!!!

You are going to run into what I can only describe as "grazing". Not actually rubbing the fender metal but you will rub the push pins holding on your Fender Flares enough that they will go missing like the photo above.

After consulting with the fine folks at Velgen I received some clarity.

Yeah if you run a 285 you have to do a 30 sidewall. If you want the 35 sidewall you have to do the 275.
I do have a solution on the way though. Should be here next week so stay tuned (pun not intended).

Hindsight is 20/20 right? (again, no pun intended)
