2024 Mustang Australia (AU) Pricing and Timing Schedule

The first ship out of Baltimore could be the ANIARA on 15th June. I saw a post a while back from another member that their DH was onboard. This ship arrived in Brisbane yesterday, so potentially first batch of 650s could have landed in Qld. Not mine unfortunately, yet to be built & ETA is mid to late December.

my understanding is the first ship that left the USA with mustangs was the Aniara, which left on 15/6/24.
The second ship to leave, which has my car is Morning Lisa, which departed on 1/7/24.

It is the ANIARA which departed Baltimore on 15/06/2024. It just left Brisbane for Sydney

I now have a VIN but no actual build date or ETA (although as previously told by the dealer and mentioned it was to be built in “July” with an ETA to Melbourne on “15/1/2025”.

with the VIN is there a way I can confirm for myself the actual build date, ETA and ship?

There wont be 1000 Dark Horses on Ship1. Australia is getting a total of 1000. I've heard rumors of it being cut to 700. Mine is built, but still in Baltimore awaiting shipping so its not on that ship.

Most of this has been posted before, but this topic has grown to too many pages now, and has become a task to wade back through everything.

No, no, and no, to answer your questions!
Being assigned a VIN means you've been allocated a vehicle to be built in the near future.
Generally the VIN is allocated ~8 weeks in advance of being scheduled to be built.
Segmentation is the date all the required parts are scheduled to be available in the factory for your build. (Assume everybody here is familiar with Just In Time inventory management)

As many of us early adopters have experienced, things can, and do change.
Most of us had a VIN allocated for an MY24 late last year, and delay after delay, the NSC and VINs were cancelled, and eventually replaced to reflect an MY24.50 vehicle.

Next significant date is Gate Release, meaning it has driven out of QC.

Transport logistics (Compound Entry date and vessel name) might not be known for a few weeks after it's been built. Patience is required.

I haven't been able to confirm from my dealer whether "ETA" is arrival into the local holding compound after quarantine clearance, arrival to dealer, or actual date for customer pickup after dealer pre-delivery.

Note that FRAP (Flat Rock Assembly Plant) is currently in an extended shut-down, July 1 - Aug 8 due to parts shortages, including the V8 engine as posted before.

My GT was built on June 28, and I recall reading here other RHDs were built on June 29. If your vehicle was built on June 30, consider yourself lucky!

As my dealer has constantly reminded me, treat the dates with a grain of salt.

I think I will be on the same ship. I got the notification mine had been build and left
flat Rock on 10 July. I don't have a Vista update though so can't confirm other details. I was told I should be able to pick it up in October.

Only 183 Mustang on Ship 1 (Aniara), 283 on Ship 2 and 211 on Ship 3. Not sure how many Ecoboosts, GTs and DHs?
There are only 7 Mustangs on the 1st ship to WA!!! and my DH is in there

That’s quick from port to the dealer, if it was on the ANIARA which only arrived into Brisbane this week (24th)
