This waiting, not knowing what is going on is very difficult, especially when it drags on for a year or more. If your segmentation date was maintained, gate release would be ~ 7 days later. (Mine was, at least). GR date is more important, as it means your car was actually built, unlike the segmentation which can be pushed back endlessly. I would hold your breath until two Fridays after the segmentation date, and then find out.

Transmissions aside, unless you specifically want the darkened headlight bezels, replicating a black pack is pretty easy.
The genuine nite pony pack 5.0 fender emblems, rear GT badge and front pony are available aftermarket. Black wheels... I read that a lot of S550 owners were sick of their black wheels, so you could probably find these on the 2nd hand market.

And, I asked a local vehicle wrapping firm a few weeks ago about doing my own Mustang roof. ~$300 for the 3M Gloss Black, and ~$500 for the 3M Ultra Gloss Black. Both have a similar life expectancy. I guess you could wrap the mirrors too, but I didn't ask about that at the time.

The black pack is mostly do-able, but I would hate to think how much the headlight assemblies would be here.

Good luck.
Thanks I'll keep an eye out for the gate release date, I was hoping segmentation would be a "lock in" as that's when all the necessary parts/options are supposed to be on site for the build, guess I'll just hold me breath and hope that gate release is around 27th Sept.

Would prefer the whole thing to be OEM/Ford built, but nice to know there's options available locally to mostly replicate the black pack.

Hey everyone...been a few years since I posted. FYI ... I realise some people might have missed out on their preferred options on their car of choice. I live in Bathurst and was talking to Aaron Bennett, manager, at Clancy Ford today, I have been thinking about going from my 2017 gt to the new 2025. Aaron showed me that he has some inventory coming in, inside the next couple of weeks I believe. They have some manuals, including Atlas Blue etc. For myself, I will be ordering a race red gt coupe soon or a little later down the track. My understanding is, although based in the country, they are/were the 2nd biggest mustang dealer in Australia back around 2016 or so. The dealer principal has been involved with mustangs for a long time. A good guy...Michael Pentecost. Will leave it up to yourselves to follow up. Just thought it might help. Cheers.

Aaron also showed myself a 2024 Mustang GT in the showroom which is/will be available for test drives very soon. Michael Pentecost, the dealer principal, also did this for 2015 model year when it was coming to Oz. After driving his 2015 demonstrator I was happy to place an order. Just looking at these cars is nice, but until you drive it, you are just never quite sure if it will meet your expectations. I am not sure if other dealers were doing this at the time of the 2015 release but I sure appreciated the fact they had one to drive. And obviously I bought one after driving it...

Hmm...maybe I should work for these guys :like:

if Ford paid their supporters for sales from our enthusiasm for the brand, Ford will be broke lol. But in saying that Fords supporter base is an untapped resource and frequently ignored but we are stuck on you will never wipe us off.

So true xrs. I reckon at least a few of us walk into the Ford dealership and look at the Mustangs and get some movement in our pants. :like: I try to act relaxed and composed as an old fart like myself is supposed to, but when I look at the stang in the showroom....well....you know. There is something about them...at least to myself. Geez I love them.....
Even young guys I know love the 60s look and the current shape especially. As soon as I saw the 24 model I was thinking yeah....that's coming to my garage...

May help, my segmentation was Sept 13 I got an email yesterday afternoon saying vehicle has been built and will transported to the port. I have a manual vehicle, but no black pack. I have my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks, it does help as I'm only a week after you. Seg is tomorrow and no email from Ford (yet) saying anything has to change.

I’m considering to replace the factory with a Borla Atak cat back exhaust, but really afraid that my neighbour dope me in to police or EPA, anyone had such experiences fitted aftermarket exhaust.

My experiences with loud cars has been positive. Previous vehicle was an abarth 124 that was basically straight piped. No mufflers and 100 cell cat. Stupid loud! Drove it like that for 7 years, passed rego and cops gave me zero issues.

I do live in a regional town though.

Be VERY careful going that route, the ATAK is waaaaaay nosier than you will expect. Even the Touring will land you on the wrong side of the law. I have the Touring and is great because you can fly under the radar when needed, or raise hell when the mood takes you there. The Atak is just always there and is not all that refined, it just makes noise and not all of them pleasant.

Australian Media drives have coming through now -
I've been waiting for these.

And look at those fingerprints already. :frown:

Keeping a small spray bottle of ammonia-free cleaner and a microfiber towel in the glovebox appears mandatory.
Any suggestions for this D?
(What is your plan to deal with this?)

I can't say I've seen any reference to RHD versions of screen protectors.

Is this where we bitch about HVAC controls not being physical buttons anymore.
