Keeping a small spray bottle of ammonia-free cleaner and a microfiber towel in the glovebox appears mandatory.
Any suggestions for this D?

I can't say I've seen any reference to RHD versions of screen protectors.

Is this where we bitch about HVAC controls not being physical buttons anymore.

I'd use a glass cleaner or something like ONR at 256:1. From what I have seen, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of Bilt Hamber Trace-less, which is like a next level glass cleaner that WILL NOT STREAK, at all!

The drawcard of ONR is that its completely safe no matter how often you use it, in fact I would expect it to help limit fingerprints too.

Towel wise, you would want something low pile, a TRC Dry Me a River (small or medium size), TRC FTW or even a suede applicator would fit the bill.

The guys that are going to PPF my car said they will do some protection over the screen. They normally do it in satin to prevent glare. I told them I want to see a car thats been done first to see if I like it. I'm going there next week to have a look. Probably wont help that much with fingerprints but will act as a screen protector.

A little pricey but..
$90 + $60 delivery.

BUT, if you email them they can add a second screen protector for an additional $30, so you get 2 for about $180 delivered.
(This is via their ‘goof proof guarantee’).

They also sell other stuff you may want for your car, so if ordering a bunch of stuff, could make the delivery cost seem a little easier to swallow..

Flamma, you cannot believe the magnitude of the facepalm I gave myself just then.

I actually ordered from Anchor Room just before leaving for the US, and had a delivery made to my hotel room whilst in Chicago last week. A screen protector wasn't even on my mind at the time.

I think once we start having local cars 'n coffee meets we should organise group buys like this in the near future.

Got a VIsta update from my dealer today as its my scheduled segmentation date.

Seg date - 20th Sep (unchanged)
Assembly Offline date - 18th Sep (this is new, hasn't previously been on my Vista screenshot)
ETA - 24th Dec (+3 days from last update)

Does Assembly offline date being new and 2 days b4 segmentation mean the car has been built earlier than planned and is awaiting QA?

Or does it mean they pulled it off the assembly line for some reason e.g. lack of parts?

Or can't determine based on this info and I should sweat on getting a gate release date?

Edit: It also says Vehicle Status: Offline (4) and I now have an engine number

Based on what you have typed, I'm 99.9% sure it's built. Mine was built a day earlier than the segmentation date so that's not uncommon. I'd say you are sweet.

Assembly offline suggests it was built , and ahead of the last provided segmentation date.
Remember, segmentation can move all over the place +/-.

Gate release is when it has passed QC and is ready for transport.

Hopefully, the update has just caught a snapshot of where it is in between at that instant.

Update on my car, it's still at the dealer sigh, dealer trying to sell me cameras and window tinting when it was already on the leasing deal, his stuff up delays it for another two weeks. I delayed it for another week by putting on the PPF. I wasn't too happy about paying LCT at $2500.00 though.

Hang on...what!? you serious. Where you hear this? Who qualifies and why?
I expect my order to be cancelled or be changed to a 2025 model (currently Oct seg date), but to be upgraded to a DH seems odd, that would be great at no extra cost.

I think they mean if you had a DH 24.5 it’s now a MY25. Sadly
