I need help before I screw things up.

First time Ford owner and First time ForScan user, I've changed the Welcome Lightning, removed the Seat Belt screen and the last thing I wanted to do was to activate the Walk Away Lock with Feedback and Auto Relock.

According to the Spreadsheet, we ignore where all "X" are and just write the non-x values, but taking in consideration that ForScan original values shows 3 groups of 4 characters for a total of 12 characters and the spreadsheet just shows 10 character, that's my confusion, can I just enter the 10 values of the Spreadsheet even when the original value has 12?

Again, just want to be sure that I'm following the instructions right before messing it up. My common sense says that these are just Hex Values so the Hyphen is just a place Holder or just saying, stop there, but I don't really know if we can just enter 10 values where 12 were from factory.

Thank you in advance.

**Update** - I just found the original post from LivNitUp where it mentions that the Vakues are up to 10 Hex characters and the last 2 are Checksum Values, so that together with the Spreadsheet answered my doubt and questions.

It accepts hexadecimal (0 - F), and you only replace the value marked with *, the rest should be left as is...

Hey, another thing that happened and was mentioned before:
Since I made a couple of changes (list below), instead of the headlights, my daylight running lights would stay on as exit lighting for some time.
But then not in white, but as mentioned before more like a light baby pink. Very weird.

I did not (knowingly) change anything regarding lights, only these things:
Successful:
Continuous gear display, WAL, electronic sound enhancement, seat belt splash screen
Unsuccessful:
Mirror Reverse Tilt, Auto Start/Stop

Any idea where the pink colored daylight running light comes from?
Would you kindly let me know how to turn off the ESE? Is that the fake engine noise from the speaker? Thanks!

Certain changes should be done manually and not in "easy mode". It seems like FORScan is trying to enable the APIM toggle which don't currently work and there is no need for since WAL works whether that toggle switch is on there or not. As a matter of fact. it brakes WAL preventing it from working when you try to toggle the feature on and off.

Additionally, have you verified your BCM software is at the level it needs to be for this to work? If not, send me your VIN and I can check.
Hi, I sent you my VIN for when you have a chance, Thank you.

Can you show me the 12 factory values and the 10 spreadsheet values. Because I think there shouldn't be a difference between the 2.

I just edited the post adding an update that I found my answer on the original post from Livinitup where mentions that the values are up to 10 characters and the last 2 are checksum ones, so now I know , thank you anyways.

Sure:

Module ACM
727-01-01: xxxx xxxx 0x--

Difference very subtle though. If you have the opportunity to make a frequency measurement before and after (idle and driving) that would be interesting.

I noticed that when I turn the ignition off, the screen’s primary and secondary colors revert to the default settings (the color of the time and the Home button, etc.). I’m not sure if this is normal behavior or if I accidentally changed something while playing around with Forscan.

Has anyone else experienced this?

This I have not. Only sometimes occasionally due to a software update or something, but other than that, no.

May I ask what your 727-01-01 settings are if you have the B&O system?

Whenever you have time, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I do yes. I may be able to do that when I’m next off of work. I can hopefully try to get back to you Saturday?

That happens every time?
Right after making a change at some modules resets a couple of settings to default once, but after you set it back to your preferences it stays as it should.

However, here are my original as builts:
727-01-01 | BC33 | 14FC | 103F |

European car though.

Thanks for sharing your as-built data—it matches what I have on my car.

This isn’t related to MyColor, though. The only reason I’m asking is that the B&O system doesn’t sound that great, and while reading through the codes, I noticed that the 4 in the second column indicates the subwoofer and center amplifier aren’t used. That makes me wonder if all the speakers are actually working. I’m not sure about the center speaker, but the subwoofer in the trunk definitely vibrates when I play music.

As for the colors, they reset only after turning off the ignition. If the engine or ACC is on, the screen loads my custom colors correctly. Not a big deal since I wouldn’t be using the screen after shutting down the car—just a bit weird. I also saw another forum member mention the same issue.

I'm in Australia so should be a similar build to yours, do your puddle lamps also only show the pony when the mirrors are folded? Would love them to stay on when the door is open, can't figure out why Ford disabled this.
