Spent some time on the dyno today. Given the filtration efficiency of these filters, I did not expect any measurable gains. I was very surprised to see ~5 hp gain over the stock filters. Saw more gain with the hood open and the lids off of the intake boxes as well.

We did 2 runs back to back for each setup in track mode. Runs were done in the order below with 10 minutes between stock and ThInK Filters being installed.

1. All stock, closed hood, closed intake box - 380 whp (corrected)
2. All stock, open hood, closed intake box - 381 whp (corrected)
3. All stock, open hood, open intake box - 386 whp (corrected)
4. ThInK Auto Tech Filters, open hood, open intake box - 393 whp (corrected)
5. ThInK Auto Tech Filters, open hood, closed box - 387 whp (corrected)
6. ThInK Auto Tech Filters, closed hood, closed intake box - 385 whp (corrected)

Filters are in production. We are getting close. Once I have a date for delivery, we will open sales.

Below are the data comparisons for the ThInK filters compared to a leading oiled filter.

I am surprised by the flow data since the filtration efficiency is so much greater. I did not expect to have less pressure drop than an oiled filter.

This is what I was after when I set off on this project. I wanted to make a reusable filter that can actually filter.

This is the result of using a more expensive filter media designed to a tougher standard.

Sales are opening in the next few days. $150 for the first 50 kits.

There are a lot of high flow filter options on market now but none that will filter as well as what I have brought to the market.

A lot of high flow filters do not filter well following ISO 5011 testing where ~80% of the particle size is greater than 10 microns. While these are great for performance, they are not the best for daily drivers.

@Mastermind46 ---they will become dirty eventually. Can we clean them with K & N cleaner and rinse from the inside out like other mesh/cloth filters? Skip the cleaner and flush out with just clear water? TY!

I am not sure what is in K&N cleaner but I recommend using water from the inside out like other filters. If you have some grease or oily build up, I would use a little dawn dish soap. I have some diluted in a spray bottle on the shelf that I use.

Placed my order too. I just put new Motorcraft filter on because the originals were really dirty. So I figure I will keep those so that when cleaning these I can still drive with the Motorcrafts while waiting for them to dry out after cleaning if I have to. I like not having to deal with oiling the filters.
