Looks like no GT V8 engines and no GT with manual transmissions. No black roof. Wonder what it means for pending builds with VINs?

Pending builds are already scheduled so this doesn't apply. But looks like they won't be scheduling much this month. With what Ecoboost auto's
Being shutdown in July does give them a backlog of Ecoboosts to fill in early August, but I'm still prepared for the possibility my blend date gets pushed.

We're out of TREMEC's?! Gtfo. First it was Handling Package, then it was Appearance Package, then it was V8's, NOW it's the transmission as well?! What's next? Shortage on chasis?

I love and want the Dark Horse but Ford is really testing my sanity. This is absurd.

I placed an order for a 2024 Mustang GT Premium which has not been scheduled yet. Based on this posting above, does exhausted availability mean no more will be produced? Doesn't make sense since 2025s will need the same engine. This is my first Mustang and first custom order, so be gentle.

Im speculating here but if you haven’t been issued a VIN yet I’m not sure you will get a 24.

plant is closed July and rumours of a large chunk of August as well. That will push August builds into September. Long story short they have a lot of catch up to do while they start taking 25 orders.

How does that work? Ford cancels my order and I have to go through the whole process with my dealer to order a 2025? They do not have Rapid Red in 2025, instead Molten Magenta. Same configuration around $3,000 more.

not sure to be honest. Many more on here that are much much more knowledgable than me. From what I understand once a Vin number is issued. Foord is committed to building that car. Until that point, I believe there are no guarantees.

Given what appears to be a month and a half of closures and a large shortage of parts I am just saying it’s possible they may not get to it before they begin 2025

I’m sure someone a little more in the know will chime in soon here with better info, but having followed this app for about six months that seems to be the gist of it

OOhhhhhhhh this news has me wondering as well.

I was just told my DH Premium build date is 08/08/24.

I put my deposit down today and I guess will cross my fingers.

@Newface I have a question for you. I ordered my DH in April of 2024 and it was assigned a Priority Code of 19. I checked it last week and it now has a Priority Code of 3. I really don’t want this car to get kicked to a ‘25. Am I right in thinking that the lower the priority code the closer it is to being built? I remember some years ago someone telling me that.

Yes. Lower priorit the better. 19 is standard. 3 may be top priority

I just spoke with my dealer and was told Ford does not price protect MY rollover orders.
No way am I giving another 4k for the same car I ordered in April. So I hope I get a VIN not likely with all the exhausted availability.

Ranges are 1-9 (escalated) and 10-19 (normal custom orders)

Being built comes down to the factory. Your priority code means a regional manager is trying to make it happen for you.

Update: I just got an email from Ford with my VIN and scheduled production date: 16 September 2024 for my 2024 Mustang GT Premium, Rapid Red, Perf Pkg, Act Exh, 401A, Carmine Red Interior. My order went to Ford on 19 June 2024 from a fairly large dealer in Los Angeles, CA area. We shall see how stable the production date remains. Likewise how long the shipping takes from FRAP. At least this answers my earlier question. I hope my wife is not too disappointed in the color now that she has seen the Magenta. Oh well.

That’s my thought, the 24 has more options and is priced better.
