2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (8/15/24) for Production Weeks 9/30 -10/28

Well that’s awesome except 2025 MSRP and invoice still translates into way over 24’s - is $11K over a 2024 on my personal spec.

Opinion/Advice: try and find a 24 on the ground close to what you want you can always mod it into what you want. I ordered on May 5th, and that build has yet to show up and I haven’t heard Jack shit from Fords famous (45 day keep you informed) email service. The car is ordered in my name and I’m still waiting for it as I may buy it as well.

Agreed it doesn't fix the price increase, but does help offset it some. My build is $6k more from what my MSRP was, but I can't get my color anymore, either. The loss of rapid red and yellow splash, IMO, was a mistake. Atlas blue should have been replaced with Kona blue. Dark matter grey should have stayed, too. Why not offer more colors? Hoping the molten magenta isn't as pink as it looks in pictures. To me it is no replacement for rapid red.

Ford has been a joke with this whole process. My dark horse order was confirmed 03/27/2023. I check in with the dealer every couple of months and they keep telling me they have no updates. Maybe i'll get picked up for the 2027 model year.

So I asked dealer for status here’s the text message from salesman:

“As of now, they have that Mustang on hold at the factory still. I'm not sure if it's a quality hold or if it's waiting on parts. I haven't heard anything else on it yet”

Three (3) Months going into 4 shortly

And today, I'm reading GM is laying off people by the 1000's, Suckllantis has just about closed up Dodge and Chrysler, and Freddy Ford is just shutting down the plant whenever they want which seems to be often. So for those looking at ordering 25's best of luck, when they can't even build 24's ...

Hello Folks

I hope you're all doing well. I am VERY new to the site and had a few questions.

I ordered a 2024 Mustang GT premium in vapor blue yesterday at the dealership. It has the 401 package with B&O, active valve exhaust and manual transmission.

Originally I was worried I didn't have enough time for my build to be made as a 2024 (no way I can afford the 2025s) but since I've found this site I've gone from worried to feeling a sense of impending doom haha.

If there are people on here waiting for a GT since May-June, do I really even have any hope at all of my Mustang being built as a 2024? Or are my odds of that happening really sitting around like 2% which is how I feel right now?

This is so unfortunate, but I'm hoping someone with a lot more experience in this can let me know if I really do have a decent shot or if I waited way too long. I'm going to ask my dealership on Monday to try and prioritize it and get a high number, but even with that do I really truly have a good shot? Or has this become a pipe dream of mine?

I'm also a little worried about a few of my items being exhausted and limited now. We didn't buy the night Pont package explicitly trying to avoid this haha. Is there any chance Ford might continue the 2024 past the target date to try and fill some orders since the lines have been down for July?

Anyways. I was hoping to become a part of this community but now I'm a little worried that's not happening now haha. Thank you to everyone who chimes in with some advice.

Dude I would absolutely love that but I live in Canada and only ordered last week :( I highly doubt it's mine.

I know that is not the one you ordered but with all the supply issues on the V8, NPP, manual transmission who knows if your order will be built. Fly down, buy the car and drive back. Have it today. Don’t wait on ford. That’s what I am doing. I found my manual transmission, vapor blue, NNP, active exhaust, etc at a dealer by luck. Heading there this weekend to pick it up. Not waiting on my order to be cancelled by ford or moved to next year.

I know it’s not a 100% guarantee, BUT it looks like it might actually happen. For all you guys that have had orders in for decades I’m sorry it’s taken forever. It’s odd to me that this one might get done as it is an HP car and I’m shocked with the tires they are doing it this late.

Yeah man, I still feel for the guys that have had orders in since 2023! My little order has only been in for 4 months and if all goes well I’ll have waiting only 7 mo from order to delivery. It’s just crazy to me that Ford didn’t take care of those guys.

My dealer told me to stay away from it at all costs or I will 100% not be having my build made. I still might not since I only decided to buy one basically the last day they were accepting orders but still.

He's convinced they are prioritizing builds that do not have the NPP and to a lesser degree the PP packages.
