What a joke! The car has been offered in Germany since 1st February and now they already close orders... From what I have heard they also have lack of enginges with Auto Start/Stopp feature.

I was planning to order a DH in fall this year. But it seems that this won't happen unless they continue to build them again later this year.

I guess having put in my order (via dealer) on 9/1/23…means I’m most likely not going receive a MY 24 DH…or could I expect to have it delivered in August of this year.

I would check with your dealer and see if they can get an answer for you. That's what I did with mine and the Ford Regional Rep managed to move my order to Priority 01 in the nationwide system.

eh? It's a software subroutine. Aside from perhaps a beefier battery or starter motor, what actual hardware is needed that isn't already there in a standard car?

They use a different type of starter motor for start-stop equipped vehicles. I'm assuming that's what's low supply?

I'd take a ballpark guess of around 4,000 based on the latest chassis numbers reported from recent buyers.

GoldenHand, I've been in contact with my dealer weekly...I keep getting the runaround...they did say that the two customers ahead of me 4th and 5th allocation did receive build dates for April and May, but that mine has not been scheduled...I will tell them to bump mine up to a Priority 01 if possible. Thanks for that recommendation.

Euro DH order books have been effectively closed since mid February when they sold out. Ford likes to pretend they're still available to order, they were still taking deposits for orders in March but they're not going to happen.
They were going to ship 200 to the UK this year but this has recently dropped to 150.
Who knows why other than Ford HQ's incompetence has let down their dealers who have taken orders for cars they can't deliver and yet they keep on producing around 50% more vehicles than they're selling.
It's a disaster. In other forums, people were still able to order DH in March and April, but maybe those are DH that have been already produced. I hope they can start producing them again in fall for MY 2025.

I can vouch for trying this approach. I had ordered 3/30/23 and was just recently scheduled. But nothing moved until the regional manager got involved and got it bumped to a P1. I was supposedly the 1st allocation at my dealer and nothing moved for the longest time.

I was in the same boat, sat for months then the new gm of my store got the regional rep involved when we finally got an allocation and cancelled a stock unit to put mine in. Was the first 2024 order at my store.

My guess is closer to 6K. I have seen chassis numbers well over 4K. Someone mentioned on a FB group he has #5783.
