I had the same size Brembo front rotors and 4 pot calipers on the last car.
I'm glad the Mustang has 6 pots given it's weight and performance

also, for the Brembo brakes, you will need at least 19 inch wheels. the only Mustang that ever required 20 inch wheels for brake clearances was the 2020-2022 GT500.

additionally, technically there are 4 different brake options. 2 piston front, 1 piston rear on the EcoBoost, 4 piston front, 1 piston rear on the GT, 6 piston front, 4 piston rear + parking brake caliper optional on the GT and 2024 EcoBoost, and 6 piston front, 4 piston rear + parking brake caliper with 2-piece front rotors on the Dark Horse
To clarify for anyone researching, the only difference in the GT PP and the Dark Horse brakes, which both have the 6 piston front and 4 piston rears, are the front rotors. The Dark Horse has two piece front rotors while the GT PP has one piece. However, the Dark Horse and GT PP front rotors are interchangeable. The front/rear calipers and the rear rotors are identical on the Dark Horse and GT PP.

I was in the same boat as you.

Are you road racing? Seems like a lot of work and money unless you are road racing.

Not road racing? Check this out:

Not road racing. My last car had the 6 piston brembos and I loved them. That thing would stop on a dime. The standard brakes in the GT are fine, they just don't feel like the Brembos. The car feels much heavier coming to a stop.

What I really want to know is if there is any computer calibrations involved in the swap.

I put them on my S550 using factory parts. Not hard at all do, just like doing a brake job, only with new parts. I have a pressure brake bleeder, so I didn't need help bleeding the brakes, if you don't have one, you will need a helper to bleed the brakes. Takes about 2 hours and half of that was jacking up the car. I only did the front.

No issues with ABS or computer calibrations?

@AZ_Ryan I don't blame you for wanting to change out the brakes. With outside high temps and sudden stops on expressways going from 80 to 0 without warning. Not to mention the mountain curves having the same issue.

I don't think you have to race to appreciate great brakes. My Cupra Ateca had Brembos and that made the stock versions, which did have good brakes, feel like stomping on a lump of wood.
That was my first exprience of excellent continuous braking performance

2024 mustang has an electronic parking brake
I posted that I only did the fronts because when I did it, Ford only had one rear setup on GT’s.
