i dont think this is a FORScan thing. i think this is a physical difference in the headlight electronics. more likely than not, adding amber DRLs will be either a little connector that goes in-line to give the DRL power to the indicators, or switching out the boards with the LEDs on them for ones that are only amber. the methods on every other Ford to give them amber DRLs do not work on the Mustang. i've tried
Any update?

this is probably a hardware thing that will either require a different or aftermarket headlight or wiring harness to trick the headlight to be amber instead of white

new update: the GTD uses the same headlights and LDCMs as the regular Mustang, which means this might be a case of finding the software for the LDCMs and programming them into yours might get you the amber DRLs. this is currently speculation, but its likely considering there's no hardware differences as far as i can tell

We'll see who gets to see one first. I've got a customer who applied for one and won. He gets to order his in September, I believe. No idea when it will actually arrive, it could be up to 3 years according to him.

Well, after a few hours comparing GTD as-builts to my car... nothing worked. There are very few differences in the BCM codes concerning DRLs and I tried them all with no success.

so, something i found thanks to another user bringing it up is that the S650 has 3 different versions of HCM
1745536857502-zw.jpg

i cant say for certain that this is the answer, but its a step in the right direction. using this i did some looking
on my Mustang (built 8/14/2023), it has part NL1B-13C148-CD and software NL1B-14D063-CD, which is the first one
i found a VIN for a 2024 MY built 5/29/2024, it has part NL1B-13C148-CG and software NL1B-14D063-CG, which is the second one
i also found a VIN for a 2025 MY built 3/8/2025, it has part NL1B-13C148-CJ and software NL1B-14D063-CJ, which is the third one
finally, i compared these to the VIN for a GTD i was given, and the part and software exactly match the 2025 MY built one

i also compared the LDCMs and while the engineering number is different on Job 1 2024 vs everything else, they all point to the same part number. the software part number is different, though, but i dont know if that is a real difference or another fake difference like the engineering number for the LDCMs themselves

i will also be contacting Livinitup to see if he can update the FORScan spreadsheet with the differences between these parts, if there are any

I might be thinking too easy, but is this not the adress to change that?

734-01-02 x*xx xxx xx--

Mine is set to 0 (disabled)
Setting this to 1 (enable) might set the turn signal as DRL

Okay Roket, I'm going to convince you this time

Look at BCM:
726-38-02 xxx* xxxx xx--
I have (2) Inhibit
You can set this one to (1) DIM or (0) ALLOW

This is something that @sky5oh would like I think LOL

no dice, it seems that the Mustang's headlights work differently than every other ford, making all these generic features useless. the other thing also did nothing
