Darn it. But thanks for trying it out.no dice, it seems that the Mustang's headlights work differently than every other ford, making all these generic features useless. the other thing also did nothing

Mee 3 and I almost thought I found the line, but nope :(
Same, he is the Mustang wizard of this forum. I'm just a Forscan cowboy who thinks he found stuff but at the end get an anti-climax. But, but but.. I do helped a few people enable stuff that they didn't have included on their trim, so I still feel goodEvery time Rocket updates this post, I think the answer has been found. I leave feeling like this

sorry to disappoint, but i think we are close to the answer now. i messaged Livinitup and i saw a few minutes ago that he was actively editing something on the spreadsheet. might be an HCM swap for 2024 Job 1 guys. if it is, here are some instructions on how to get to the HCMEvery time Rocket updates this post, I think the answer has been found. experimentation and trial and error are part of finding the hidden cool features of a new platform. even if it ended up doing nothing, you looked around and had an idea, and even though the idea resulted in nothing, you already did more than most other people do. most others wont experiment or ask questionsSame, he is the Mustang wizard of this forum. I lost some plastic thing, don't know what they are called. But when prying the side panel thing, they all jumped out of the tabs one by one. 1 broke and 1 is lost. But even without them the plastic side cover clicked in after the installation.sorry to disappoint, but i think we are close to the answer now. i messaged Livinitup and i saw a few minutes ago that he was actively editing something on the spreadsheet. might be an HCM swap for 2024 Job 1 guys. if it is, here are some instructions on how to get to the HCM
1. Pry off this end panel

2. undo a 7mm bolt holding the headlamp control switch panel on, and pop it off. its clipped into place. the HCM is now exposed

3. the HCM itself is held on by two 7mm bolts as well
hope the short tutorial helps someone because i nicked the little piece of trim above the switch while doing it. likely gonna cost me $130 after tax to get the part, even with my employee parts discount. dealer cost is about $98 for it. ugh...
Nope, not your fault, it's our lovely manufacturer that we work for, fault, haha.sorry to disappoint, but i think we are close to the answer now. i messaged Livinitup and i saw a few minutes ago that he was actively editing something on the spreadsheet. might be an HCM swap for 2024 Job 1 guys. if it is, here are some instructions on how to get to the HCM

I can be the guinea pig if we found the right line. I have a job 2.Nope, not your fault, it's our lovely manufacturer that we work for, fault, haha.
Mine is a job one '24, if it works what HCM am I replacing it with?

we will have to see if this even goes anywhere. logic dictates that this is probably the key, but one thing Ford really hates is to do things logically sometimes. prime example: i had to order a brand new $1300 door panel for a new Raptor R that came in with same small scratches on one little piece of trim. they only sell the whole panelI can be the guinea pig if we found the right line. GrabThatBlue, you can test out the job 2 part and i will be the guinea pig for swapping an HCM since mine is job 1. this all hinges on the HCM being the key to this amber DRL door
also, just got a new message
"I spent some time pulling asbuilt info for the vins you gave me and compared that to the HCM sheet I have on my 2024 Darkhorse spreadsheet and what's decoded there actually matches the 2025 vin and not either job1 or job2 24. I didn't write down the 24 Darkhorse vin I used to make that spreadsheet so I can't see how that happened. Anyways, I'm going to replace the HCM sheet there with the job1/job2 vins you gave me and make two HCM sheets with hw/sw part #'s at the top.
I'll take a look at the LDCMA after this "
Doing gods work, thank you for investing all this time for us!im gonna be doing a deep dive into module configuration stuff later today to see if i can track down where this thing could be, but it looks like the HCM and LDCMA/B is not the answer. this is frustrating. unrelated, but i just learned that 2025 Mustangs built after February 9th, 2025 no longer have a BCMB and the tail lights now internally do the sequencing, and the BCMB's functions have been integrated into the BCM. it looks like between the time the tail light connectors changed on the 2024s to that date i mentioned earlier on the 2025s, the BCMB might have just been for ambient lighting??? actually, during typing this i found a diagram in the Workshop Manual that shows the full connections to the headlights
