I'm potentially giving back my GT with every option (NPP, AVE, 401A, PP, Magnaride) due to some service issues (Ford buyback) and don't get me wrong I love the sound and performance of the V8 but I originally started this journey with an Ecoboost rental and do miss the more sporty handling of such a lighter weight car and much better gas mileage, as I'm averaging 11-13 mpg in the city and it's adding up at the pump. The Ecoboost got me close to 400 miles a tank especially during highway driving and now I'm lucky to get 150-200 miles with the GT since my commute is now predominantly stop and go city traffic.

I've had my fun with the GT but it was also a convertible so I couldn't track it or really push it except for quick highway stretches and I'm now leaning toward a more economical daily driver but still stay with a Mustang. I'm also going fastback this time instead of another convertible.

Looking for others' experience with an Ecoboost, specifically ones with the HPP and Magnaride with AVE. It's a rare package and bumps the price up considerably, so wandering if that particular performance package is a make or break option with an Ecoboost??

Fusion Titanium 2013. Ecoboost 2024 on order
That is exactly what I have 2024 EB premium with PP, magnaride and active exhaust system.

I love it. Acceleration is very decent, well more than decent. Fuel is good averaging 9.8L/100km (about 24mpg). My fusion 2013 titanium with a 2.0l is 9.2 so not that much more. I always drive it at around 70mph (120km) on the highway. But driving at 60 will reduce a bit more on gas consumption.

The sound is very decent too. Of course not the full sound of a V8 but very decent considering it's only a 4cy. Active exhaust make a big difference.

As handling goes. It corner like it was on glue. Magnaride make it also a lot smoother when it's in normal driving mode. But all mustang with the same will handle very well regardless.

The shifter paddles are also really a lot of fun. Plus the A10 is really fast on shifting.

My only concern is the wheel hop. When the road is slippery it hops like crazy and this is without flooring it. It seems worst with the 3.55 diff, but next year when I get it out of storage I will install the stop the hop kit from steeda.

The only problem is if you want it new then it won't happen as all those feature, PP, Magnaride, are not available anymore.

Hope this help.

Fully loaded ecoboost premium...I concur on all points... except I have the stop the hop... so not so much on that one.

Can't order them fully optioned anymore (25s), so limited to 24s on the lot.

I have this same rare combination. I picked it up in March of 2024 here in Austin, Texas. It has been flawless and never needed to go back to the dealer for anything. It drives amazing. I have about 8,000 mi on it. I took it on a cross country drive out to Yosemite National Park and it got nearly 30 miles per gallon on a road trip across the US even at high speeds. It's not a "muscle" car but it is wonderful sports car. It's quick, it handles amazing, stops amazing and yet is still efficient. It looks super with a red painted calipers on the 18-in Brembos. One guy at a gas station in Arizona. Thought it was a Dark Horse, LOL.

I have the exact package you are asking about ,2024 Ecoboost premium, with Performance Package, and Magnaride in a coupe. And, like you, my previous car was a 2019 GT convertible California Special. Of course the straight line Performance was better in the GT, but handling is much more balanced in the Ecoboost, and the car is truly more fun to drive. I have owned Mustangs all my life, going back to a 1971 429 CJ I drove in high school, and my fully optioned Ecoboost is one of my favorites.
