OMG I AM SO STUPID 🤣🤣🤣

The reason why the puddle lights didn't go off was because the driver door was open as well. I closed everything and all is good.

This is one of the most stressfull days in my life 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That's what you get when you work on replacing side mirrors when you never even hold a screwdriver before. 🤣🤣

I guess the best one went through all these shamefull moments as well right?

Anyways, I put everything back together and everything works.

Tomorrow I'm going to do the driver side.
This took waaaaaaaayyyyy too long for just 1 side 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I put you to work 24/7 shifts just to find out it was plug and play. Man I apologize!!

The only thing I'm doubting is the orange light. It looks like some orange bulbs are not working or is this just the design?

In the picture you can see the orange lights are cut out. Is this normal?

If not, I don't care anyways. These lights will pass the inspection and thats the reason why I started this whole headache.

That's good to know.
If @Form Lighting comes with their own style turn signals, that's the first thing I will change, cause they look broken 🤣

Roket, sorry for wasting so much time on this headache. I was preparing for the worst. I can't believe I'm the first one who did this. At least the first one on the internet. That's the reason why I was stressing too much, cause I don't like to be a guinea pig, especially because I'm a big time amateur stuck on an island with a bunch of amateurs that I don't trust working on my car.

It ended well and I have 1 less headache.
Tomorrow I'll do the driver side and I' sure it's not going to take 10 hours just like this one.

🤣

i wouldnt say any time was wasted! we both learned a lot of stuff, and you helped establish that what was true for the S550 is also true for the S650; mirrors with indicators are plug and play. also, you might be interested in these: https://www.s550euros.com/products/2015-2020-mustang-mirror-turn-signals-1?variant=37893479891117
there should be no fitment issues, as the 2024+ Mustang uses the same mirror indicator as the 2015-2023 models

I've enjoyed reading this thread and have learned a lot. It's impressive how much you guys know about this subject. @GrabThatBlue, I admire your dedication to get this accomplished!!
Thanks man. It's always funny to follow how I work, I'm like a clown that knows nothing but wants to learn everything and during the learning process I make every possible mistake there is. 🤣🤣

The only reason why I didn't give up was because I know how expensive it would be, if I ship the car back to Europe and fix it over there. In this small country where I live in Europe there is a huge monopoly when it comes to servicing your Mustang. This garage that know a lot about it won't share their knowledge with you and they will even tell you that something is impossible, just so that you bring your car to them. They told me they can fix this and that they would charge me approximately 15 working hours for only the side mirrors at 100 Euro an hour. That's 1500 Euro excluding car parts.

On top of that, I'm not allowed to register my car or drive my car if I don't have a rear fog light and turn signals on the side mirror. This means that when my car arrives at the harbor, I need to pay a shipping company to transport my vehicle to that Mustang garage, so that they can add the turn signals and fog lights.

I would have lost around 3000 Euro to 4000 Euro (excluding car parts), just to have turn signals and a rear fog light to pass inspection and get it registered.

Now that I found out that it's plug and play, I saved myself a couple of grands and a lot of hassle.

I can now drive straight to the inspection with a temporary license plate to get it registered.

LOL.. when I saw your earlier post, I was going to ask if you closed the door...

So glad it is working for you.

One thing I did notice, you may lose the BLIS indicator... You may want to check that it works before closing things up. The gnd for the BLIS indicator is on pin 12 on the new mirror and on pin 7 on the old mirror. Taking the wire from pin 12 and splicing to wire at pin 7 (mirror side of plug), may be required to get that working.

Oh really? I haven't checked that. What I do remember is when I start the car, both blis indicators light up. I will have to drive then to see if it's working..

I really hope so, and if not, I'm leaving it as it is anyways. The turn signals have more value at this point to pass inspection to register the car.

I checked the wire diagram and I see what you are saying. Strange that it still works then..
I'll verify after taking the car for a spin. I should be busy today with the driver side but my whole body is hurting, knees, tighs, legs, arms, shoulders, and so are my fingers. Worked for too long on this conversion and the location was too close to the ground, so there was no comfortbale way to work on it. 10 hours of stress.

So today I'm giving myself a day off and tomorrow as well, cause I think this pain will take a few days to recover.

Good for you! I'm working on a long project that has some similarities, and it's important to know when to take time off. I've worked so hard on things that I needed to see a chiropractor and a masseuse!

Looking forward to your next update!
