On my first S550 (the one in the avatar) I asked the dealer not to drill. I had the Lakin brackets. Instead they used some doublesided tape and positioned the front plate off-centre. I fixed the brackets myself the next weekend.

Those DH exhaust tips look a lot better than the baked beans cans we get on the GT. Another thing to add to the potential mods list!

You saying you want those tips from the DH ? If so you'll need to change the Diffuser with it as it won't fit on the GT. Best to get a borla Axle back or catback 4inch tips is enough. I think the DH stock tips 5"?

Or get a DH diffuser as well

Prob won't go to those extreme's, maybe just find better looking tips that suit the GT diffuser.

Couldn’t be happier with my Craigs Plate Holder. Easy install and a breeze for cleaning the car.

Just waiting for some silicon plugs to cover the unused fixing holes on the plate and to cover the screw ends behind the plate. There’s lots of room to adjust the plate distance from the bumper.

Sure there’s a risk the plate could be unfastened but it’s not obvious. If you’re paranoid you could remove when you park.

Interesting that none of the Press cars at the Adelaide launch had the big number plate plinth on the front... obviously Ford doesn't like them either...

No wonder, those huge black plastic mounts are horrendous.

Interestingly for the S550 launch Ford AU have PONYXX plates on all the press cars. Looks like they may have sold them off. If they did that’s a penny pinching marketing fail.

I'd hazard a guess that it's more a case of saving a dollar.
A bit like not fitting a plate to the GT's strut tower brace, now that's penny pinching.

I just have to remove the dealer big black plastic frame, it does look terrible, so just ordered the front plinth and bracket.

Did you notice how the Start/Stop button pressed itself in the Opener montage?
It's not perfect, but it'll do.
