Automatic Quiet Mode Start not working

Anyone having issues with the automatic quiet start on your S650 active exhaust ? I have it turned on and times set for quiet starts but when I press start without brake for accessory mode to check the exhaust setting first it's on normal when should be quiet. I checked to make sure its turned on and times are set. Used to work fine until recently after a whipple install. Not sure if thats a coincidence or not, haven't driven the car much lately since it's been mostly below 20 °. Any input is appreciated.

I think it actually starts in normal mode and then switches to quiet mode in a few seconds.

@Wraith6668 are you just jumping in, pressing the brake and starting the car up?

Try jumping in, powering up your car's AUX POWER and letting all the toggles and doodads do their adjustments then turn it over.

If what @Wingnutzz said above is the case it might allow it to adjust prior to ignition.

Mine works but I've never really paid attention to HOW it works lol

All I usually have to do is start the car and it's already in quiet but now I have headers and I need to check to make sure its in quiet and looks like it's in normal when im in accessory mode and I have to manually put into quiet before starting and I hear the valve shutting so it's definitely not working right but was wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Ahhhh ok yeah, if you have accessory on and it's still not working right something is off.

I'm wondering how/why a whipple calibration would impact your ability to use Quiet Mode?

It may not be the issue because I've had an over the air software update after the install so could be ford messing our cars up as usual

I will test mine tonight. I think my OTA update was Dec 26th... I downloaded 10.1.0 (SYNC-24.2.1.6)

Thanks I appreciate your replys. I'm afraid to just try it but I'll have to set it for afternoon times and see if it works because my car is so loud even on quiet mode that I will wake the neighborhood starting it at 4am. I don't want to be that neighbor. It's not my daily but I like to drive it to work here and there.

LOL I hear ya. This is why I didn't actually go with headers after adding the H pipe.

I do have a Whipple Stage 1 on the way though so that may increase the volume close to the borderline for my ears.

My shop lied when I asked will it still have quiet start. I have catless headers a steeda H pipe and the factory catback and it's ridiculous on normal. Haven't even tried sport or track yet. Normal is loud enough

I hate to break it to you, but if you thought your Mustang would still start "quietly" after installing catless headers and an H-pipe, then I don't think the shop was the issue here.

I agree on this one. I have it to always start in quiet mode, for the first 0.5 seconds, it starts in normal mode (Due to the back pressure) and then immediately switches to quiet mode.

I did the Lethal/Kooks Catless LT's and those first 30seconds of a cold start are BRUTAL.

I've measured +115db 10ft behind my car.

I'm going to add a couple resonators to quieten it down and deepen the tone.

I replaced the resonator with this, car had excellent tone and was able to now have true 3” into the res with no neck down.

I was going to look into resonators if they won't restrict and have an issue like stock cats. Don't want them to clog and blow the engine.
