Does anyone know of the 24’ GT will automatically update software if not connected to WiFi? My garage is too far away from the home to connect to WiFi. I’m currently on software version 6.2.0. Automatic update schedule is turned on. I’m thinking it should be able to update with the built in cellular modem.

My 23’ Mach-E updates automatically with no WiFi.

Thanks!

Yes, I never connected to my home wifi and received every OTA update so far. Just make sure
Automatic Update is switched on. Note if the the car has sat for awhile or goes into battery save mode, it might not update till you start the car.

how can you tell what version you are currently on, and how do you know what the latest version is?

Same here. I wonder if my car updated automatically. New car. I have no idea.

I don't see anything after selecting software settings except automatic updates and recurring schedule. No release notes/update details ... ?

Unfortunately, at this point in time, the notated behavior is a quirk of the application. Im not exactly sure the circumstances but i have also noticed that there are occasions that clear the update history.

Some can ‘ping’ based on vin and i want to say there is a method via vehicle but not perfectly positive without waking her back up.

Mines also did not have any details. But today it seems my car got an automatic update 6.2.0 connectivity upgrade. Now when I go to Settings on the car menu - software update I now see “update details”.

To check what Sync version you're on, navigate to the "about sync" menu of your touchscreen (I think it is under general). For most vehicles, Sync 24127 is the latest available version. If you check for updates on the vehicle and is says "up to date", all that means is that there is no active OTA trigger on the server for that vehicle....it does not mean all the modules are up to date. The only way to check if any modules have pending updates is by running the VIN through Ford's PTS or FDRS systems.

I'm not sure if 24127 is available for these cars yet. Ford does not list this vehicle in the GSM that was sent to dealers to advise them of what the latest sync version is for them. 24127 first popped up for the F150s in September.
