This was interesting to watch for sure!

You mention this was based on 2011 criteria in your message. If this is true, then I think the testers may need to update their crasher car to resemble a midsized SUV. Cars are much larger and heavier in 2024+ compared to the midsized sedan that was still pretty common in 2011.

Especially if you get hit by an EV. Those things are tanks. Or imagine a cybertruck slamming into you. I love me a cybertruck, but it’s a nightmare scenario getting hit by one.

Might score better than the S550 did on euro ncap, although that test has just got harder again.
The 2017 car got 2/5*'s which is 1 more than i thought it might get.

They did resubmit it in 2017 (facelift) and got 3/5*'s for having fitted lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking.
