Similar thing happened when a near-twin found mine last summer!
(Grabber Blue GT PP convertibles - only real difference is the Nite Pony package on mine.)
Maybe it's just me, but I find the left footrest in my '24 automatic is too distant relative to the real pedals. I can reach it with the ball of my foot but can't really "rest" my foot on it without moving the seat so far forward that I can't comfortably pivot my right foot between brake and...
Not yet. I’ve bought TPMS setups from dealers for past vehicles and have a rough sense of what they charge. Hopefully my fellow owners will have some tips on getting the best deal and I’ll have fewer phone calls to make when everything reopens tomorrow. 🙂
Has anyone in Canada ordered a TPMS kit for a set of winter tires/rims? I see this one sold by Ford Performance in the US but would consider other locally available and compatible options https://www.ford.com/product/20242025-mustang-tpms-with-activation-tool-kit-p2833769985
If you bought at a...
I've been using Shippsy for the last few years and it's always been a good experience. Reasonably priced, too. They have several locations where you can pick up in the GTA https://shippsy.com/contact-us/locations/
You probably already know this but the Pirelli P Zero summer tires that come with the PP are more of a problem than the Torsen when the weather gets cold (7C or 45F). They get treacherous even on dry pavement at or below that temperature.
My thoughts on getting the blower:
Pros:
Being the alpha ~99% of the time vs. 2WD cars at stop lights
(??% vs. AWD)
Having a reason to pop the hood at car meets
Supercharger whine
More power = more joy and fulfillment (obviously)
Cons:
Every Whipple and Roush install I’ve seen deletes...
100% agree.
This is my third car and second Ford that have the same feature but the first one to be so annoying about unnecessary "hands on wheel" warnings.
One more tidbit about the CarPlay thing I forgot to mention. The dealership included a reference to SSM 52574 on my repair order, which provides more detail about the issue.
Right, but I don't think Ford intended to repeatedly warn drivers whose hands are on the wheel and paying attention to keep their hands on the wheel and pay attention. The way the system determines that my hands are on the wheel is what I consider to be a design flaw, not the warning itself...
Update: Talked to the dealership tech about this yesterday.
Since the issues is happening only at pretty high speed, they obviously didn't attempt to replicate the issue.
At first the tech was telling me that all is normal and I had hit the governor limit (no, I said, my speedo is indicating...
Update: I visited my dealer for this and other issues yesterday. They're chalking this up to a design flaw.
The tech told me the system relies on rotational input (not pressure or weight on the wheel) to assess whether or not you're holding the steering wheel.
I asked it if was possible to...
Update: I had my dealer look at it yesterday. The service advisor let me speak directly to the shop foreman / tech and he said the antennas on the Mustang aren't as large or well-placed as those on my '21 Explorer (my point of comparison for how this feature should work) and the behaviour is...
Update: Took my car to the dealership yesterday and it's fixed. The RO just said "ALIGN BOTH RIGHT SIDE GLASS" and mentioned removal of the passenger door trim, which suggests they may have adjusted the track on the door window as well as tweaking the rear window glass track.
I'm going to try...
There may be hope. Here's what my dealership said about the issue yesterday. Quoting my repair order: "FORD IS AWARE OF THIS CONCERN AND ARE DEVELOPING SOFTWARE TO CORRECT PLEASE CHECK AT YOUR NEXT SERVICE". Apparently it can affect Android as well as iOS devices, and may be an OTA fix.
Here's...
For those who are experiencing some of the same annoyances with their S650 as I have, here's the list of issues I took to my dealership today and the outcomes:
Audio via CarPlay is intermittently silent (detailed post: CarPlay audio intermittently silent)
May be fixed soon - quoting my repair...
Ouch, that sucks.
Based on your need to research this, I’m guessing it wasn’t the dealer’s tint guy? If it were, I’d hope they’d just take care of the screw-up with their subcontractor and deliver your sweet new ride fully repaired and good as new.
