sound logic. I have emailed Steeda. FP has not come out with lowering springs for the 2024 yet. I hope they do as I would like to keep everything Ford/FP. May just have to wait…but the higher front end and wheel gap is a bit annoying visually.
FP has their track spring kit out specifically for the S650, have it on mine for quite a few months now. Last I spoke to a FP rep a few months back for a street version specifically for the S650 he said it’s in the works and more stuff should come out during the summer months. I bought the FP track springs on mine and they’re made to work with stock suspension. Then they made a kit specifically for the ecoboost and for the S550 that’ll work for their stock suspension as well instead of recommending or requiring their track shocks and struts.

Why use a torch? Cut off wheel will do it in five seconds
These days yep, for sure.
Back in the dark ages, not so much. Of course when we pulled engines we would park under a strong tree and use one of the limbs. Thinking about it, it's amazing we are still alive...lol !

don't do it cause it's ghetto. It's what you do to a shitcan, not a nice new car.
Lol I had the same exact thought. This is what people do to 20 year old Hondas....not brand new Mustangs.

I'm still a bit shocked I'm actually reading this as a thread on this site.

Hey now, there is nothing wrong with exploring all options available. 😝

I also recommend the Steeda springs. They have several options and I’ve been very pleased with mine.

When cutting one has to make sure the location of the endings remain the same, so you have always to cut a complete winding.
Should the endings be flattened, better forget it altogether.
Furthermore, requirement #1:
When the wheel has its maximum travel position and the spring the max. relaxation, the spring needs still have enough compression/pretension not to simply fall off (relates to the rear spring only where it sits relatively free between the whishbone and the frame or however that part of the chassis is called).
Another option btw. is shortening by compression and heat treatment as it is being done also in motorsport.
I would however rather take the professional route of buying springs available.
Even if they are actually produced/fine tuned by the same means, they should provide some official warranty.
