Yeah - the whole thing smells like BS - I’m not buying it, and the reason (someone here said: - mean) yeah mean is mild compared with the possibility that someone is making up BS stories for whatever reason, do I know that for a fact - nope. Do I think someone paying 90K for a Mustang sounds smart - nope.(not unless it’s a GT500) a serialized car, and the Dork Horse is no GT500 just a rebadged Mach 1. I bought my 2022 Mach 1 loaded - HP, Tech Pack, A10, for $62k in 2022. There is a GT500 for sale up the road from me with 6K miles for $93k (actually going to look at that myself to buy) So if the person actually did pay that, maybe the whole thing is buyers remorse. His wife prolly smashed him upside the head when she saw the BOS… 🤣🤣🤣

full disclosure, I’ve previously prevailed in lemon lawsuit

Not just no,HELL NO. OP doesn’t have a statutory claim in any state yet. Even if he had the repeat safety issue or 4x repairs wit 30+ calendar days down, once you ring that bell, it won‘t be unrung. Every subsequent dealer service interaction will be a search for a reason to void the warranty in any aspect, which could be presented in court.

Even if you have a problem child car, it’s much better to try and work through the dealer first, Ford next and give them every reason to WANT to make your problem right. IOW don be that guy.
Always best to try to work through the dealer first.

My '21 F150 was hardware equipped for BlueCruise, but a year later, it still had not been delivered via OTA as promised. My dealer spent 2 months getting it done (long story). During that process, the dealership owner asked ME if I wanted HIM to start the buyback process. I told him no, I loved my truck, just wanted to get BC enabled. We eventually got it done (me working along with the dealership, including me doing my first FDRS updates myself).

Can I toss a guess out there ? As many times , humans cause most of their own problems. I know I sure have over the years.

He mentioned adding a quart of oil , and did not explain the procedure he used to make sure it was correctly done. Would it be possible to overfill and get a check engine light ? The car was fine , he added a significant amount of oil , then car was not fine 🤨 🤔

simply a guess and question to those who know way more than me. ?

Yes, both underfilling and overfilling can cause a CEL. So can a lose cap on the oil fill and even an improperly seated oil dipstick, among other things. Even using the wrong viscosity grade. So will oil pressure issues.

Beat me to it but let’s not also forget everyone’s favorite, bad gas

was gonna say not as likely as bad gas but then you mentioned all the other stuff so went with it. Taking out two cylinders (opposite banks) makes it less likely a gasket issue and more likely something else.

Snakeyes I don't know what your major issue is. I bet you think the moonlanding was fake as well.

I like the vette in your Pic. Does that make you a Chevy spy here? Or a car guy? I'd bet a car guy.

Do you think there is a secret organization trying to bring down Ford though a forum? Get real dude. I like cars.

Isn't the whole point of a forum like this to try to spread awareness of what's going on with our machines? Not just talk a bunch of s***?

And even if I spent 200k on a fiesta what would it matter to you? It's none of your business, at all. Get a better job then man. Whatever I spent is still money that's not working at less than 600 miles from the factory. And that's not ok In my book.

Maybe read the entire postings.

Or offer any kind of encouragement and be a Ford dude and car guy?

I hope you get the Shelby man. And I hope she runs hard.

See how that works? Did your Mom ever show you Bambie?

Say somthing nice or nothing at all?

I'm gunna guess I bet your like 5'5 huh bro. Got that SMS. I hope that Shelbys seat can scoot up that far.

To all others I appreciate your kind responses. I'll keep updating. Sercive manager seems awesome and said bring it in asap. He's at least trying hard so far, which is all I can ask for.

She's getting towed out tomorrow privately (the Ford road assistance in my area doesn't have flatbeds).

Well see if they can reimburse bit I'd rather her get in safe and sound.

Will update all tomorrow.

Thanks again boys, hope all is well
Out

In terms of adding oil, I only did because upon 1st inspection it was below the bottom hole on the dip.

Upon reading the manual and common sense I added 1/4 quart at a time, on level ground until correct level achieved with correct weight oil.
