The rear wheel lock lugs on my DH stand about 3/8” give or take proud of the other lugs. They seem tight and the car drives fine. But given that I’m a notorious over torquer I thought I’d ask before I started leaning on them. I don’t have a lot of faith in current PDI chimps.

It‘s a HP car if that makes any difference.

Different wheel types, maybe they sits differently. I'm not 100% sure, i do not have those anti-theft locks on mine.

But they are different, my S550 wheel locks were sitting at the same eight, this ones in the picture are a way different (with inner grip).

Took mine off and replaced with matching regular Ford performance lugs. I'm not in a high crime area. Too many S and W's around.

Do you remember if they stuck out like that when you had them?

@youngatheart yes they stuck out. Maybe some wheels not as much. The PP wheels not as bad as yours. The thieves will laugh at those if they really intent on taking wheels.

No doubt you’re right about they stick out more on some wheels than others. The locks are close to flush with the regular lugs on my front wheels. I’d assume the locks are the same but my rear wheels are 11” wide and the fronts are 10.5”. That would account for the difference.

Looks right. Mine didn't have wheel locks, but I bought them right at the dealer -- people like to take the wheels off and leave your car on cinder blocks. Doesn't matter if it's a high crime area.
