Why not the 3.5 or 2.7 EB?I'd like to the the Mach E with a 5.0 engine. I doubt it would handle like a race car in the city, and would just be a nice Sports SUV that you could take the family out in.

Why take a half step, or less, when replacing the electric engine. Go all the way. What drives me batty about Ecoboost and turbos is every time I researched BOVs the come up with Ecoboost articles about Turbos, and click, needlessly, on sales of BOVs for Ecoboosts. A Procharger for a Mustang is a far cry from a turbo. In other words I don't want my Musclecar sounding like a Japanese import whining, whooshing, rattling, and whistling. If all that is youngsters Viagra, so be it. My family owns mostly 24 5.0s, but little wifey has an E-Boom PP. The Performance E-Boom is an item of the past. Why not the 3.5 or 2.7 EB?
Maybe he should of put the DH in drag mode not track mode. Plus I refuse to call it a Mustang.Mustang Vs. Mustang (kind of):
Maybe we should do a quarter mile with the same car in different modes so we can see that drag mode or other modes don't really matter that much.Maybe he should of put the DH in drag mode not track mode. Plus I refuse to call it a Mustang.
Good idea. I have the Tremec, but have heard in drag mode the auto shifts differently and faster.Maybe we should do a quarter mile with the same car in different modes so we can see that drag mode or other modes don't really matter that much.
Yes it does shift different because its set different. Just like how sport reacts quicker when stepping on the gas. But all modes are not that differenr from each other in a quarter mile when they all start at the same time.Good idea. I hadn’t planned to one way or the other but why does that thread bother you so much? It’s pretty much like any other thread where folks have different opinions. Pretty easy to just ignore stuff you don’t like.I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT
please don’t reanimate that thread...
smurfslayer:
I don’t get the I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT thread.
And that it’s really still going. ;-)
Supposed to change the suspension settings if you have Magneride tooGood idea. I have the Tremec, but have heard in drag mode the auto shifts differently and faster.
Help me understand your drift a wee bit here please:But when it comes to sound, and being able to extract oneself out of a situation or on catching the bad guys Ecoboost won't cut it. 50s in 5.0s. If you understand my drift. It's all about safety.
Help me understand your drift a wee bit here please:
What does “50s in 5.0s“ mean, and are you saying the ICE V-8 is safer because it can “extract oneself out of a situation“ more quickly than an EcoBoost? I would sure think an EB could get you away from someone wanting to do you harm plenty quick enough.
[/QUOT I you heard a bit of Rap music you might come to understand what the term 5 0 is. Maybe try Electraglide in Blue. My wife has an Ecoboost and will be a student of defensive driving. I plan on retiring and helping both my daughter and wife learn this. Daughter has a DH which will soon get a H-pipe and Procharger soon. Ecoboost will probably get just a good intercooler and K&N intake for the stock box. We have a small Mustang club, and it's present members are only family, for now.
