This is a repost because the last thread I posted went very off topic very fast without a real answer so I’m hoping someone can help. So I’ve had my 2024 GT with factory active exhaust for like 6 months now and I’m just realizing that it muffles the cold starts. Basically what it does is even though the valves are open when I press start, they close for a second to muffle the loud part of the startup and then they open again. I have it on video and I’m posting it with this. Does anyone know if there’s a way to stop that from happening without clipping the valves open? I really do like having the functionality of the exhaust but I hate that I can’t get real cold starts. Please note that I like loud cold starts and that’s all I want from this.

That kind of sounds like mine when it’s in quiet mode in the morning. Not sure what people replies with already. Did you check to see if you have it on or scheduled? Maybe there is a way to factory reset settings for that?

I definitely don’t have it scheduled but I’ll see if I can reset settings to see if that fixes it thanks. I’ll check in after I try that.

Yes, @Stang24 has a video on his youtube that shows you how to do it. You need to start the car in Accessory Mode, switch to Track Exhaust. Then fully start the car. You have to be in the vehicle to do this, you can't accomplish this by remote start. Check out the short video below:

So I did eventually end up trying that back I got the same result this time I got a better video. That’s after having put the car in accessory mode and choosing track exhaust.

To not go off topic... open the valves (i.e. put it in track mode) and just unplug the valves on the muffler or find the fuse. Once again, I'd be surprised if there was that much difference in that 1 second that the valve closes and then reopens.
