FITCAMX Dashcam now available for the S650!

An FYI for those interested. I received an email from FITCAMX support a few hours ago saying that their dashcam is now available for the 2024 Ford Mustang. I was interested in this primarily for the factory integrated look, however, I ended up going the BlackVue route because I wanted a dashcam with parking mode.

Has anyone purchase/installed one of these on their S650 yet? I've been considering it, but haven't seen any reviews on the one specific for the 24/25 Mustangs. I don't think that there is a difference between Coupe/Convertible. Also, can't tell if the USB plug is still there and wondering why they wouldn't have used that for power over the Rain Sensor power/plug.

What is parking mode? Filming while car is parked? How good is our battery to do keep on filming?

yes exactly that, it doesnt necessarily keep recording 24/7 but when it gets bumped into. can changed the sensitivity on g force to start recording. my current dashcam is hardwired and has a voltage cutoff so that it doesnt kill the cars battery.

im not too sure how long it records. but it records maybe 30 seconds before it felt the g force to set it off

So how did it record 30 seconds before the bump without knowing when the bump happens?

idk the technical side of that. but it does have a g force sensor on it and if it is triggered. it starts recording

I understand the sensor part. But recording before something happens is a little strange. That means the camera is recording all the time.

yea it goes into "parking mode" and most likely is recording and just saves the event. im just trying to figure out if this dashcam does it as well

I don't feel comfortable having a camera recording all the time. May cause battery to die when not driving it too often.

Many dashcam hardwire kits include a box that monitors voltage and shuts off power to the camera if the vehicle battery falls below a programmed number.

Answer from their website on parking mode:

Parking Mode

No. (If required, please contact us to purchase a fuse box kit.)

So it sounds like it's possible to add parking mode but with additional modifications. The G-Sensor activates an automatic "Save" mode when collision is detected, but only when the car is on (unles above mod?)

I want a DC so bad, but none of them have "grabbed" me yet! Not sure what I am looking for but this one is not it.
