Dang! Made me paranoid. I checked my stickers in my driver's door; the big white one has 7/23 in the upper left corner (no other dates visible on any of the 3 stickers there).

Is that my build date? If so; seems like mine must be one of the first built? GULP!

Very early on in production, Ford paused to perform some type of cylinder head review or fix on S650s. It wasn't very clear what the issue was, but tells or comments highlighted something with top end of the engine. I wonder if this is Ford's way of confirming their earlier actions will correct those concerns, using a random sampling of parts involving customers in real-world conditions.

Talk about damned if they do/if they don’t

people bitch incessantly about fords “lack of quality etc…. Ford does a random post prod quality check and gasp…. People need to make something of that also.

it's not so much being told "bad" as much as the risk of probation or termination for even messing up once
still doesn’t assure a flaw-free engine head or service. The Terminator history is something to pay attention to. It started out the same way. Somehow Ford got away with a TSB then. Wouldn’t be able to do so now.

I didn't think Ford even changed heads vs the S550. Wasn't it just the Dark Horse that got different cams in the head and the GT was standard issue stuff the main difference being the twin intakes vs the S550?

I believe Ford makes 5.0’s every day. A lot of 5.0’d.
Is this odd only 11 Engines are affected?
Or is there more or a Fishing operation?
