I got lucky and managed to pick up some Dark Horse door panels for my 24 base vert EB. My car didnt come with ambient lighting but the new door panels are wired for the door handle lights.

So I plugged them in and changed the APIM module using easy mode to enable ambient lighting. That part worked so I now have the buttons in the center cluster.

Im guessing I need to update a BCM/BCMB module as well? Does anyone know which module you need to change in order to get at least the door handle lights to work?

That could very well be the case, as it turns out I wasn't able to get the lighting to work. Just in case anyone else was curious I found another issue.

I read on the 6g forum that the BCMB module controls the ALM functions. I tried to update address below:

7B7-01-01

xx*x xxxx -- (4 for ALM zone 1)
xxx* xxxx -- (2 for ALM zone 3)

However I got a configuration error when I went to write the change. My guess is the base BCMB module would need to be changed to the premium models module in order to work.
