Anybody seeing alot of inside tire wear on the front. Both driver and passenger front.

I drive in rural areas with horrible potholes, so I got to have some sidewall. The 18 inch contrinentals are just about out of tread on the very inside, only 7,000 miles. Have not rotated yet. Just getting her ready for summer and noticed it. I have alignment tools and will be checking the toe on it. Riding seems great, A touch of oversteer, which is par for the course with this kinda car.

Never peel out, but im hard on turns. These cars need 5,000 mile rotations. Not sure what they advise.

These conti's won't last too long. However, still got to stick with 18's. Any advice on tires would be great. Drive some nasty roads and car sees rain. Car's only driven in the summer. No snow.

Definitely check alignment. These cars all seem to be out of spec from the factory...

And rotation @ oil change works well for me.

I have the DH, 7,300 miles and even wear on the shit pirelli p zero trofeo rs tires. Inside tire wear is from negative camber. Natively the front camber is not adjustable (speaking from my DH). Before I had 50 miles on my S650, I installed modified "handling pack" upper strut mounts to cure this issue. Purchased from Ford, ground them out almost a half inch, installed thus in my eyes curing this issue. Many will argue moving the wheels to zero camber affects handling, it does in the eyes of a track car. My ride won't ever see that sort of driving. I am very allergic to purchasing tires.

Here is south east SD dual driving, gravel roads are a normal everyday thing. I take the DH down them frequently at highway speeds with no tire/wheel issues so far with the exception of a ton of car wash and detailing supplies.

If you were not aware, Ford offers one free alignment in the first 12 months of ownership. The Warranty Guide will have narrative in support of that.

Below are two tools I use. One, a manual tire gauge. The other, a tread depth gauge. Pressures are checked consistently. Tread depth, about once a quarter.

I've got a square setup and rotate tires once a year.

Too much wear on the inside = too much negative camber. Negative camber good for the track, but not normal daily driving.

Ryunker,

I was looking around and several folkd make eccentric bolts for the control arm to adjust it from the bottom, instead of the stut tower. Any reason you didnt go that route?

Also, you got the alignment numbers after the change?

Likely do it like most times I do suspension work. Rough it in manually, and have it finsihed up at a independent dealer. I usually insist hourly rate instead of flat price and leave the car there for a few days, so they have time to do it right.

MY old mechanic would align it, then drive it a day or two to see if he likes it, then call me afterwards. Good guy, even though he liked chevelle's too much. Packed up shop and headed down south. The shop is now a brewery, like NY needs another one......

Nice mach 1. Used to drool over a green one right across the street from my high school. Guy used to have a nice 67 xr7, aquamarine with black landau hardtop.
