So, I've had more days to test the "improvement" on a more wide variety of roads and I can say that the "bit louder" (despite the other effects) with the H-Pipe, is more than a "bit", especially with the exhaust fully open. Don't get me wrong, I love it and you can "regulate" it by changing the modes (active valves), you can notice it especially with its ROAR on cold starts (this may force you to program the quiet start, especially if you have to start the car in the night or if don't want to annoy your neighbors).
Finally I've found a reason for that "customizable" button (the "star") on the dashboard, and set it to quiet exhaust, so a single button will make me "stealth" without mess with the modes or by navigating the menus (and actually it works the opposite way as well: by pressing it again, it'll reopen the valves).
The video above respects what you could hear in real life (with the limitation of hearing it through a mic rather than in real life...).

I have the H-pipe in as well and I agree. It's more than only a bit louder.

Yup, one of the reasons I took it off my S550 after 3 years, it was "a bit" too loud (plus I had other axle backs - no active system). I think the DH sound is pretty good even when you start in normal, Sport and Track are great. Really not sure if I will had an H Pipe again 🤔 (plus the hassle of avoiding police controls by taking another route, even though this happened once).

With the valves you'll be fine, coz you can really decide how it should sound. Without active exhaust it could became an issue, in those moments when you say, i'm too loud.. and you can't do nothing about it. I wouldn't have done it without the "switch".

Yeah, in quite mode it is fine. Also the otherwise very present cracking when taking the foot off the accelerator is reduced to a minimum

Does yours do the same?
On restarting, it makes a fairly loud noise, as if it were a cold start.
Example: after 100 km on the freeway (so the car is fully warmed up), a 10-minute stop, then a restart, the noise is quite loud, like a cold start. 🧐

Edit : stock exhaust

Not as loud as a cold start, but yes, a way louder than when it was stock. If you don't like it, set it to start in "quiet" mode.

I actually like it, but it surprised me compared to the S550.👍

Are we talking about the h-pipe? And you had the S550 with an h-pipe as well?

Sorry, I misspoke, it's on the Dark's stock exhaust.

Naa.. i dunno about the GT, but stock VS stock my Bullitt was a way louder (on start and overall) than my stock DH (both EU). Now the DH with h-pipe is a way louder than the stock Bullitt.
For the GT it may have been different (I know that the Bullitt has a very different sound than the GT, especially if we compare both the EU versions).

That's very interesting, by any chance do you have a video of a soundcheck with the h-pipe? Or even better, a comparison with/without?
Did you install the steeda one or other brands?

No, as I mentioned in the other post, i gone to the shop and first think I wanted to do: i will make a before/after video (coz you can't find one with the EU version).. and.. I didn't!
If you scroll above, you'll find the video from the Swiss guy, that's pretty like how it sounds mine now. I went for the Steeda one (coz it's the easiest to find in EU and they are fast on delivery).

We alomost had the first before/after video!!
Saburak, you are our only chance now😁

Btw the steeda one seems a great option, but what about a 3 inch h-pipe (the steeda is 2.5) or a double h-pipe? Do they sound better or is it just a gimmik?

I dunno, I went for the H-pipe because the general opinion is that it doesn't change the sound pitch (I love the V8 american sound), so was the best option for me.
