Ford Mustang GT 2024 w/ Performance Package - Spoiler Delete
Hello Community,

I am thinking about buying a GT Mustang, been dreaming about owning one for years and here I come, almost ready to order one.

However my local dealer offers two types:

GT Base and GT Premium, the only difference between the two is for premium: memory seats, leather seats, heat/cold seat, connected screens, rear perofrmance spoiler, dual lines on hood and above car.

Base has all remaining features of premium including active exhaust and quad tips.

the difference in price between the two is a little too much, locally the gt base is 66,838.56$ and gt premium is 79,426.61$. Base option is better and more comfortable financially for me however i am worried that i might feel a little regret that i did not get the premium.

Should i get the base and in future months add performance spoiler ? I appreciate a lot your opinions. Thanks in advance.

I absolutely love my
Base 300a car, mine was only 43K though.

You must not live in the USA because the prices you are talking about are a fully loaded GT Premium for your base, and close to a fully loaded Dark Horse for your Premium. My advice is get what you are comfortable with price wise. And then you can always add the spoiler later on. Their is a video on here showing you exactly how to add one.

I went with the base 300A since I knew Iā€™d end up changing a lot on the car. Only regret is maybe not getting PP or 3:55 gears, but other than that love the car. Maybe in the future Iā€™ll upgrade to one that has all the bells and whistles but for me Iā€™m more than happy with the base 300A I have. It was worth the extra savings for me especially payments wise

I got a 300A car mainly because the price in my area was too good to pass up but after sitting in a premium version, Iā€™m more than happy with what I have. Premium seats in my opinion were far too stiff and uncomfortable for my liking. Not having my color and heated/cooled seats isnā€™t much of a trade off for me so Iā€™m happy with it especially considering that mine did come with active exhaust which I would highly recommend anyone getting. Only thing I didnā€™t have was a pre installed spoiler so I will have to drill holes when I do want to put one on. I would go with the GT base personally.

Honestly, you will have as much fun with the Base model. It all depends on what you want in a car. If you are buying to road race, track, or drag strip, get the Base. If you intend to mod it, get the base. If you aren't into motorsports and want a comfortable car for trips and daily driving, get the Premium. Bottom line, buy what you can afford. A large monthly payment will make you dislike the car very quickly. Trying to sell a loaded-up car within a year will be very painful.
I just looked at a GT Premium on FACEBOOK MARKET PLACE. It has a lot of options and 1300 miles. I'm guessing the MSRP was at least $56K USD.
The seller is asking $44K.

My only gripe with my 300a base is it didn't have active exhaust. It did have a torsen 3:55 and factory decklid hole cover. Aka the lump spoiler.

I got a 301A car. I didnā€™t want a premium but had a base in my S550 and liked it. Iā€™m a no frills kinda person. But i liked the little the 301A offered over the 300A.

I am a driver so I ordered a Base 300a with Performance Package and 10R80 transmission because I live in So California and have to deal with a lot of traffic.
The Premium Package has a bunch of things that mean nothing to me from a driving standpoint.
I will say whatever you choose you will love the Mustang šŸ¤˜

I would suggest going for the Premium, if you can afford it. You will likely regret not having the heated/ventilated seats, and I also can't stand the separated screens. It comes down to personal preference, though. Go with what you like, but if you're on the fence about something I'd recommend doing it so that you don't regret it down the line.

"I am a driver"

Well stated. I too got the base GT, 10speed and Performance Package because I plan to drive the shit outta this thing. Brakes can never be too good and those Torsen diffs are amazing. It was hard enough for me to justify a $57K toy and didn't want to make it $60 or $70.

I would bet this isn`t a US based dealership/customer.
