Would substantially improving the build quality make the current price point easier to swallow or just raise the price of the Mustang even higher than it already is?

I'm not sure that improving quality would do either, but it would reduce Ford's warranty expense and increase the public's perception of Ford as a quality manufacturer. We all know the weak spots on the cars and bought them anyway!
In 2020, Fords warranty expense was $2B GREATER than GM's! Not $2B total, but equal to GM's plus another $2B! Thats mind boggling!

Ford has saved money hand over fist on this platform. At the very least, build quality should have significantly improved at these prices.

apparently not many of us. It would only help Fords cause to plug the quality holes.

one has to wonder how much of these WC issues are inherent to the platform in its umpteenth trip to the hospital.

Based on history and present situation = realist.

Vs. “hey man. This or thst is doomed. Doomed I say!” = pessimist.
Actually realist is defined as:

A person who accepts a situation as it is and is prepared to deal with it accordingly.

You don't seem to be accepting the situation as what you want is not being done by car makers!

We accept the reality and deal with it accordingly.

your pessimism and vision for the future is not reality.

but thanks for sharing.

Other than foreign msnufacturers such as Lamborghini and McLaren’s, a brand new lineup of v8 engines is being developed by GM.

Ford is likely revving up a new, an even better v8 for the next mustang as well as trucks and possibly SUVs.

Unfortunately, the s650 has hit unavoidable snags based on boardroom decision making. Outside of an s660 Cobra or something, I don’t think ecoboost RTR or dark horse RTR is going to do anything. can’t wait to see what the next generation shapes up to be.

Wow. The new gt360 was unexpected. Especially with the dark horse.available
Always said the dark horse should have just been the GT.
That should get some enthusiasm going.

Too bad is Shelby American though instead of a ford model.
And crazy expensive. But still an exciting development. Far more so than an RTR ecoboost.
