Spend a billion dollars to save a 45 minute ride. Brilliant!

Adds up over time, doesn't it. And it's not just the time. It's the extra cost in manpower, fuel, packaging, and wear and tear. But yo uknew that already.

Or maybe Mexico called the US on gun smuggling
Ford produces in Mexico and Canada. The USA was putting tarriffs. Then both countries decided to play ball and now tarriffs are paused and may not be implemented. Sounds like Ford made a call - along with every other worthwhile company doing business our of those countries. Common sense.

There are no anti Mustang cheerleaders here. Just folks who have a grip on reality and do not go along with your unrealistic ideas. But that’s just you being you. Carry on!
Well none except you uand Greg24, as proven by your posts over the last couple of years. But OK.

I'd say following Ford's line about keeping the V8 alive on their website is more realistic than your constant and frothing "it's dead! must go EV SUV!" nonsense.

The mustang isn't just some commodity vehicle. It's THE American enthusiast car.

I think many of these suggestions from others are best served by a classic car. No new car will ever be like that again.

As for comfort - yes, considering Ford call it a GT there should be a softer version as with the Mercedes CLE
That was fair, thx.

as much as it pains me, you may be correct.

boost: back before the days of interconnected interdependence you could actually remove the battery from the car and it would keep running, today not so much. Simplicity for complexity’s sake eliminates the need for the car to know if the windows are open before you can activate hypermile mode.

Unless they build that billion dollar factory right next door your argument holds no water. Those costs are always there. It's also ridiculous to think that Ford is putting any real money into ICE at this point. But you already know that.

Oh what two Mustang V8 owners.

I don't think either of us have said anybody should go EV SUV - maybe you can quote where I said that?

I think you probably need to take a break from this place if you are so wound up about what I posted over the last 2 years!

a lot of creative mental acrobatics to twist things into that. Please save your political smears for elsewhere. Let’s keep the subject on mustang thanks. This thread has a lot of good discussion and we don’t need it ruined for everyone by getting it locked.
This thread has run it's course for some time!

You have been regurgitating the same ideas over and over. And no matter what is said the final response is the same. “How do we save the Mustang”? We don’t. It is and always be Ford’s decision. This isn’t 1987.

Rough wednesday.

do we save it by purchasing it or do we save it by creating threads of discussion?

Well the former is obviously not happening. The time for an affordable V8/ICE two door coupe has pretty much come to an end. We should be thankful that Ford has bucked the trend and continues to give us an awesome car. Any other mass produced vehicle that sells in these numbers would have been killed off years ago.

As far as the latter, we are an infinitesimal group who recommendations have little to do about saving the car versus making it what they want. That part is pure fantasy.

You’ve piqued my interest, what was so special about 1987?
