Add a set of lowering springs and 20" rims and we could be twinsies except different colours LOL
I've given serious thought to either chrome dipping the existing 19" wheels or just getting rid of them altogether and going with 20's. Haven't thought about the lowering springs though...hmmm...lol.

You say that now, but Blackstock is just a short drive away :)
You are correct, it is more power than you can use on the streets, especially around the GTA.

I felt the same when I sold my 2021 GT Premium (with Roush Phase 2) however here we are. In less than a month the Whipple goes on.
I'm just outside of Hamilton, so Cayuga is closer for me. šŸ˜€ Was there last year watching a buddy and must admit I did get the NEED FOR SPEED! Lol. Congrats on your Whipple! That will absolutely transform what is already a beast.

I just traded in my 2024 GT (not premium) for a 2025 DH Premium a couple days ago and it was 1000% worth it IMO. I was sold on the test drive - handling, shifting, everything really was noticeably better. I work from home so I use it just for fun on a daily basis. Only taken her out a couple times and she certainly gets attention! Do it!!

Extremely happy with mine. Have the HP without the recardos. Love the heated and cooled seats option. Daily commuter that is fun to get into turns with. When the salt gets laid down on the roads is about the only time it gets parked. I debate on a Whipple on a regular basis, but I am pushing the limits of getting in trouble as it is with the stock N/A 500hp. Personally I probably should not take it to over 800. Would do it all over again other than the 18 month wait.
18 month wait? What? I realize it takes a little longer to order a car (assuming thatā€˜s what you did) but 18 months?

Whatever the deal was I applaud your patience. I saw my black 6MT one online one morning just goofing around on the internet and noticed it was on the showroom floor 20 miles away. Couple hours later it was home. I was pissed that they had to take a few extra minutes to remove the shipping spacers they had missed. I guess patience doesn’t really come with age.

Yep, ordered when the order banks opened on 27 March 2023. Didn't take delivery until 6 November 2024. So really 19 months. Part of my patience was the fact that I was going through an ugly divorce after ordering so the timing worked out that the car delivered 3 months after the divorce was final. One less thing she could go after. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Initially there was that factory closing down to to panel misalignment/QC issues followed by "supply chain" issues then winter because it was a HP car and who knows what other reasons. But at the end of the day I get in the car and push the red button and smile every time.

Curious on how happy you all are that have Dark Horses currently? Any regrets on getting the dark horse over a premium GT? I have a 25 400A GT premium currently & debating on going the dark horse way next time I trade in the future. Do many of you use it for daily driving? I would not take it to the track. would most likely just go with the 600A trim level with no additional options to keep cost lower, they come pretty well optioned out. Only thing I wish the 600A came with is the cooled seats, those are nice to have. Thanks!
27,000 happy miles, no regrets at all here. i daily drive mine as well as do road trips (Antelope Pass Vista and San Jose so far) and autocross. as for the cooled seats, it might be theoretically possible to add the cooled seats if you can find someone selling theirs. i helped someone last year who swapped out their recaros for the normal seats (700A) and as far as i know, its still working great for them

Thanks for all the responses and information! I plan on keeping my GT for a while then probably going with the dark horse before my warranty runs out. ford may come out with other new trim levels for future model years also. it sounds like most everyone is happy with their dark horses though which is good!

I've been looking at powder coating my stock HP rims. I love the look of them just not the colour. I was even thinking of buying some LMR SVE HP1 but can't justify the cost for the colour!

Thanks man. You know you are going to end up doing it.

I’m glad I got a brand new 2024 for the price. I doubt I’d be willing to spend that extra 5k on the 2025 model.
PS - 2025 with no wireless charging and 5k price increase is just nuts.

I’ve been waiting for a ProCharged Dark Horse to pop up on YouTube. Still no dice. You might be the first to ProCharge one
I'm debating getting one for myself or one for my daughter for graduation in 4-5 months. Was sold on Whipple's, but they're a bit too much for around town. Plus if a Whipple goes south so could the engine from broken SC parts. That could cost over 20 grand to replace both engine and SC.

I do not know how they are made, but one week ago I was at the track attack with recaros and these are 100% better for me as tracking this car won't happen,
Thanks for pics! They look great.
It kind of looks likes the Miko suede that I’ve see in the Edge ST. Just odd that they call it that Cloth on Build & Price.

I heavily considered a Dark Horse...had a hard time justifying roughly another 10-15K above a GT with PP and AVE... with only 14 HP more (486 vs 500 HP).... if the Dark Horse had I don't know maybe 50-100 HP above a GT with active exhaust, I would've happily paid the premium. Dark Horse is awesome nonetheless - its a dressed up GT basically... part of me was also thinking well what are the odds that Ford releases another special edition Mustang like the Dark Horse in another 3-5 years... very likely!

If you don’t track your car and want an auto no need for DH. But if you want a manual that is a HUGE reason to get a DH

96 Mustang GT, 24 Red Dark horse premium Manual
I moved from a 96GT to a Dark Horse manual, racing red and premium package. I picked it up about 18 months ago and am about 5,700 miles. It's a daily driver and will never see that track. It took a while to get use to it because the Tremec shifts so much better than the old transmission. In addition, the engine doesn't wake up until almost 3000 RPM so you need to be a little later in the shift if you want it to deliver. I am now comfortable with the handling and I can best describe it as nimble. You think about where you want to go and it just does it. When I first got the car it seems so much bigger than the 96 but somewhere along the line, it seems to have shrunk. I don't regret the extra money it cost and I would do it again. If you are the type of person who likes to drive, even if it's to the corner market, you should consider it.

Wow a 96’ GT to a DH is a MASSIVE upgrade lol. You went from 215HP to 500HP. Enjoy!!!

Growing up as a teenager I always dreamed of owing a Mustang GT particularly the Fox bodies and the mid/ late 90’s GTs. Always had a reason on why not to buy one…. 25 years later my first GT was a 2024 and man do I love that thing!!
