I just traded in my 2024 GT (not premium) for a 2025 DH Premium a couple days ago and it was 1000% worth it IMO. I was sold on the test drive - handling, shifting, everything really was noticeably better. I work from home so I use it just for fun on a daily basis. Only taken her out a couple times and she certainly gets attention! Do it!!
If you don't mind my asking how bad of a hit did you take on trading in your 24 GT? How many miles did you have on it?

I just bought the 2024 a month ago and was actually going to pick up my plates when I saw the DH in the showroom. Had 19 miles when I got her and about 450 when I traded her in. It was pretty brutal but tbh I didn't even look. Careless and stupid? Yes. Worth it? Also yes šŸ˜‚

And here you go, this right here. I’m guessing this poster is fairly young and many would in fact say careless and impulsive. Well I’m in my mid 70s and just did about the same thing. Probably worse, actually. Sometimes you just gotta say eff it.

Enjoy it in good health my friend. You done good!

Old enough to know better, at least! Sounds like I’m in good company though. 😁 Hope you enjoy as well!

HahašŸ˜‡. It's called "The Return of Mid-Life Crisis", or "Mid-Life Crisis 2.0". Same thing happened to me. I have a DH Premium now, yet will not see it until April. Had my daughter purchase it for me, then sold the GT Whipple to a younger colleague. Can't wait to see it.

Wow a 96’ GT to a DH is a MASSIVE upgrade lol. You went from 215HP to 500HP. Enjoy!!!

Growing up as a teenager I always dreamed of owing a Mustang GT particularly the Fox bodies and the mid/ late 90’s GTs. Always had a reason on why not to buy one…. 25 years later my first GT was a 2024 and man do I love that thing!!
Not as much as one might think. the 96 was about 800 pounds lighter and Ford started working on the handling about 1982 so by 96 the car was sticking to the road pretty well. They have made some additional improvements in the handling but the first time somebody was tailgating me and I floored the fuel, I never seen anybody back off so fast.

I'd like to find a older Fox Body Highway P-trol model, fix it up as issued, slap a new Coyote in it, and drag race it. Maybe door graphics would read Donut P-trol šŸ©. To protect and serve donuts.

I just happen to know where a 1987 police car is with 3 miles on the clock. It has never been titled and is still factory fresh. It still has the price sticker on the window. Unfortunately the price would be high enough that it wouldn't be what you want. One of the companion cars was a Dodge Daytona that was still fairly original and reasonably low milage. That has been sold and is making the shows in an unrestored state.

I have one from Michigan with a really powerful 350 in it. But some idiot crashed into it on a chase. Now rats are up the wiring. Plus it's a BIG Caprice fully loaded push bars pebble grain flooring and all. I could probably just get a regular Mustard and get the doors painted white and put a search light on the driver's side.

I’m very impressed with my Dark Horse so far after about a month of ownership.
Only reason I got it was for the Tremec and it does not disappoint!
Absolute drivers car.
Interior is really a big upgrade from my Mach 1.

@MarkS650GT10 ...... have driven a DH with tremec. Definitely an awesome ride. If I wanted a coupe it would be a flip of the coin. Better to supercharge a GT or go DH? Not sure on that one. I'm out of both though as I wanted a convertible. Love top down driving and the sound of the exhaust in the "open air" ..... I saw a DH convertible mock-up at Shelby American. Now that I'd consider seriously.

I bought mine for a fun road car I can drive right to the track with no mods. And for that scenario it really delivers. It is very good on track and super comfortable on the road. If I wasnt tracking it I think I would go with a GT.
