Is 401A still worth it without B&O - what is "premier trim with color accent group"

I opted for it. Finish looks better imo. I also passed on the B&O. Let the exhaust notes be my music.

I just checked the builder, I didn't realize the auto is no longer extra. And I'm guessing the 6MT still has the gas guzzler tax. This may be the nail in the coffin on my Mustang. The only reason I'm considering it is to downsize from my Bronco and Trans Am to a single vehicle. The advantage is less maintenance, more space in the garage (got a few motorcycles and bikes, plus I want the kids to have some space to and be able to grab their toys without help). Also, I love my '02 Trans Am 6MT, but it has the normal 20+ year old car issues and it would be nice to just be able to get in and go without wondering if I'm going to be towed home. Last summer I had to replace the alternator, and then the clutch master, and now it is leaking coolant and I haven't had a chance to look at it, but I know I'll have to deal with it before I break it out for the spring.
You might want to keep the Bronco.
As your Children grow larger the Mustang is growing smaller.
also, the Bronco has four-wheel-drive. , which is nice in the winter time.
i’ve only been through Pennsylvania once but I know here in Colorado I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t have at least one four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle in their stable.
This doesn’t represent union or management.
Good Luck with your new project.

Appreciate the thoughts, but my RAM 2500 is 4WD, and my wife drives a Grand Cherokee, so I actually have 3 4x4s (though the JGC is technically AWD). The bronco is the best in the snow though, highest clearance and Automatic 4WD.

Thank you to all that have provided info, but I have decided not to order at this time. Bronco just isn't worth what I hoped (glad I didn't pay ADM LOL!), and a few other things going on, mainly around the garage. I just moved 4 years ago, and had an extra 2 car garage added to my existing 2 car garage just over a year ago. Only recently I have worked to finish the inside of the garage, and while it isn't complete, I can finally start hanging things up on the walls and be more organized.

The bottom line is that I'd like to give it one more year (all 4 seasons) and see what happens. I really do like taking the doors and roof of the Bronco, and now that I have the RAM, if the Bronco is top and doorless, and the weather is bad, I can take the RAM. I'd also like to start driving the T/A more and see how many issues it has this season. Last year I did alternator, clutch master, and then it started leaking coolant on the last drive of the season. Once I fix the coolant leak, if I can get a full season out of it without any issues, then we'll see.

And since the mustang 7g just came out, I doubt it is going away any time soon ;)

Bear with me but these are the things included in the package to my understanding after living with the car for about 6 months now.

The main advantages of the 401A package are accent stitching package, can't speak for other interior colours but the light grey on the black interior accent stitching is VERY nice and I wasn't even really that excited about it until I took delivery of the car. The premier trim is also soft touch/leather trim on nearly every surface just makes the whole interior feel that much nicer.

The upgraded security package includes a locking centre console (though the build quality of the console leads me to believe anyone who really wanted in there could do so with a long enough flat head screwdriver, it's really more a secondary barrier against the quick smash and grab type thieves if you want to lock up some important small items like a wallet etc.)

The B&O system, while it sounds nice to the average joe and has decent bass for a factory sound system, is also a pain in the butt to upgrade and isn't up to snuff for true audiophiles/bassheads due to a few quirks of the system. If you want BIG booms or ULTRA quality and plan on upgrading leave it. If you don't care about sound quality, leave it. It's really nothing to write home about and the only reason I could say one could justify it is if they wanted a slightly better sounding system with factory subwoofer and they don't want the hassle of installing an amp and sub on their own.

Copilot 360 is just Ford's name for their full suite of driver assists, rear backup sensors, rear camera, adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist etc. Don't quote me on what does and doesn't come with that package because I never really bothered to use any of it. Relying on that tech isn't my style. Memory driver seat and mirrors is only useful if there are going to be multiple drivers of the vehicle or if you plan on hanging around a bunch of shops with a bunch of 5'0" mechanics in their employ haha.

It would make sense if it’s built there and sold there for cheaper. If US imported those parts then it would be more expensive.
And as for the Canadian pricing on here yes it's true Canadians got their Mustangs for a steal of a deal. Not sure if it had to do with the engines being built here or not but my best guess is a combination of a weaker Canadian dollar and lower purchasing power overall in our weaker economy led Ford to make pricing adjustments on the Mustang to keep it competitive, which tbh is the only reason I was able to afford mine in the first place! Just goes to show you how much they really are ripping you guys off down in the states though!

For example, when I ordered my 2024 a fully loaded GT cost about $72k CAD which was equal to about $49-51k USD, a base model GT was about $52K CAD which was about $36-38k USD, and an Ecoboost starting at about $33k CAD which is about $22-24k USD depending on time of currency conversion. Of course prices have shot up and rates have changed since then but yes, we got such a good deal on ours there was actually a stipulation in my purchase agreement that gave Ford Canada the right to sue me if I decided to sell my car in the United States within the first year of ownership because I could have easily made a big profit on it.

Unless they changed it for 2025, the B&O system is part of the 401A package. Since the price is still the same at $2,900 I have to believe that is the case.
No. Not everyone wanted the subwoofer. So that's no longer included in the 25. But you can get one that fits in the spare tire well. Just flip the tire upside down and use the anchor screw to tighten down the sub/amp assembly. No spare? No problem. Other companies make spare which fit PP Brembos. The powdered subs are $100-$400 all in one units. They out perform the B&O big time, and are 5-20 lbs each.

This is a similar situation in Cambodia where if the car is being imported in, the price of the car would double to buy in Cambodia. If my $71k GT were to be bought in Cambodia it would cost me $142,000 USD. Each country have different fees and up charges, some rip you off some more forgiving.

Thank you Canada. I'm not from the states nor from Canada and because of the cheap prices in Canada I decided to buy my car from there. My window sticker was 76CAD and I think I got it around 73CAD out of the lot and shipped it out of the country. Even with the shipping cost included I got a steal.
