On gen 3 cars there is a plug they pull to instantly disable TCS and Tq limiting

Has anyone looked for this on gen4 yet?

Several months ago I tried pulling that in a '24 Mustang Ecoboost convertible and it didn't seem to do anything. No error messages, nothing, like a placebo as far as I could tell

It's called the dyno plug. Most all high performance car's have them. My Mercedes E-550 Twin Turbo 4.7 V8 has an option in the setting to enable this to be turned off. Mercedes calls this Diagnostic Mode. On the Mustang it has by pass plug in it set as default Off. Simply remove the end cap plug and this allows the ECM to 100% shut down both traction control, and stability control. As Fair Warning... DO Not use this on the Street. With the proper tire and a well prepped track this allows an experienced driver to lift off the pedal to control his line down the track, and not limiting any power traction or stability. What it's really used for is dyno turning the car. For me... I never use this. My GT PP1 is just fine the way she sits. Will2, I'm only guessing here... but if 300 hp @ 5000 RPM isn't enough to light up the tires on pavement I would imagine with or without the dyno mode your not going engage the traction control. Try unplugging it again and get on a gravel road and hit it hard and see what it does. Then put the plug back in and try it again and see the difference the traction control makes. That should tell the story.
