I tried today mine did not fit on S650, due to the length of these rails. But mine are full size and NOT the same as shown in the link.
Mine are little too long at the front. They don’t fit despite cutting the felt.
There is a high point right next to where you cut the felt for front bolts.
But these short chassis and steeda one are shorter so they should install ok but old BMR full chassis length one are long and they simply donfit.
I had these rails on my S550 but they do not install on my Dark Horse.
but ones shown in your link should fit fine.

I bought S550 ones for my S650 and they fit after trimming the felt.

I added the Steeda full length rails yesterday. Came off my S550.

They fitted ok apart from the front, where it sits a bit lower as the bolts seem to be attaching to control arm or something so rails don't sit flush like the rear..but still no scraping etc issues.

It appears Steeda rails fit better on S650s due their design of mounting holes. BMRs are not really a fit on S650, quality control is poor and after sales service is also very poor. I bought them off CJ Pony parts because I bought quite a few parts for my S550 in the past and they used to be good but now CJ Pony parts customer service has also dropped down substantially. I will probably stop buying anything from them in future. Part’s availability is low, shipping times are also long and staff is also hit and miss. I am currently $400 out of pocket where they don’t have replacement available and refused to issue refund for a part that doesn’t fit and American made car it is advertised for.
Very disappointed.
I will order a Steeda rail when I get a chance after reading their reviews. Hopefully o won’t have any dramas with Steeda.
BMR caused damage to the threads in mouting point at chassis due to the BMR rail pushing the factory bolt at a slight angle which you simply can’t see until the bolt stops half way through to tightening. I am not sure how I am going to get it fixed now.
Very disappointed with BMR and CJ Pony parts.

No problems here with the BMR rails that came off my 2019 and installed in my 2024… trimmed small amount of felt and bolted up fine..

I am ordering these ones:
Steeda 555 5205 Mustang Coupe Low-Profile Jacking Rails (15-26)

I see a couple of advantages with these ones.
  • Firstly the two end front and rear the way they are tapered will be good to avoid catching underneath the car. But they also add a slight gap between chassis and rails which means you may not need to remove the screws holding the felt as the rails won't be touching them.
  • Also the way the mounting holes are drilled there is a tiny bit of tolerance for lining up the mounting bolts in case they are not precisely cut to fit the car.
I wish i had bought them instead of the new BMR compatible with 2024 which are really poor quality and design and not to mention the bad customer service from CJ which just amplified the whole bad experience.

86pagt, I bought full length BMR Rails for my S550 (2016/2017) and they were built good except poor powder coating which i got redone before installing. They were really strong and the way the mounting holes were designed, welded and sealed both ends. Unfortunately i can not install them on my dark Horse, they simply do not fit.
So i bought these low profile BMR Rails hoping it will be same build quality atleast as the previous ones that i had, but i have to tell you i was very disappointed.
  • Firstly the front and rear ends are not sealed/welded, they are simply open which means, rocks water or air will simply go through it potentially creating a flute effect who knows i wasn't able to install and drive so i don't really know.
  • Secondly the power coating also very poor quality as before, it will come off very quickly. I have seen better paint quality then their power coating
  • Then the mounting holes only drill through the top part of the box steel that is closer to the chassis unlike the older ones i have where they have welded the top and bottom to provide that extra strength.
  • Last but not least, they instead of stamping their name in the rail actually stenciled it which means it creates a weak point in the rails where there name is stenciled in the rails.
  • Unfortunately the pictures uploaded by CJ does not show these design flaws in them only described boxed low profile jacking rails and the BMT stencil appears to be a stamped name in the photos.
  • Finally the quality control is not there and they have not left any room for tolerance. I was only able to install one Jacking rail and the other one simply won't line up. Its not that it was out by cms, its quite obvious that if the rail is pushing against the bolt at a slight angle and there is no tolerance then it will damage the bolt threads or the threads in the mounting point of the chassis, which happened in my case.
  • And when raised with CJ, they refused to resolve it either by replacing or issuing a refund. They said they do not have a replacement in stock and then i asked for refund and they won't issue the refund either and said I may not have installed in correctly. How can i install the other side correctly? How can i install the previous ones on my other cars correctly?
  • Just an excuse to deny accountability and do the right thing.

They have previously sent two set of wrong rails to one of the s550 owner. He ordered the rails for convertible and they kept sending it for coupe. It is because of these mistakes they lose money and then try to recover them from customers like us where they try to blame customer for the manufacturing faults in the products they are selling and not backed by manufacturer either. Ultimately us as a customer have to pay the price.

Myself located overseas makes it very expensive because, the cost of shipping itself is about the same as the cost of product. In other words i pay for two set of jacking rails to get one.

Our site has the most up-to-date shipping as we run a shipping program at checkout. I don't know if you know this is an option, but https://www.mustangmotorsport.com.au/ sells Steeda Jacking Rails in Austrailia.

On our site, in the lower right corner, change the flag to your country. Then, it will auto-calculate shipping for you.

Best,

TJ
