The filmer estimates that it ran a 6:45. That thing is moving, appears to be going faster than previous clips, even in ones with good weather. I don't know if it's because the driver is more comfortable with the car now, or if they made some tweaks and improvements to it to make it handle even better.

if it actually pulls a 6:45, that would put it in 6th of the fastest production vehicle times above the 992.1 GT2 RS and below the Aventador SVJ. in the range of vehicles costing $600k+ (according to the options and equipment listed on the Wikipedia article)

Plus isn’t the track configuration longer now too?

If this puts down a 6:45 or even a high 6:40, everyone who trashed talked this thing will need to STFU lol. This is epic, a great time to be a mustang fan.

They better get a new time before the ZR1 gets there
Not gonna lie, the c8 zo6 apparently put down a 7:10. I can see the zr1 getting a sub 7 maybe, but I don't believe it'll have the finesse to match the GTD around the corners. Less downforce, worse tires, worse weight distribution, and 200 more horses running through the rear wheels. My guess is the zr1 is gonna haul in a straight line, but fall behind the GTD everywhere else.

Valid point, but GM chassis and magnaride are scary vs downforce. Also the ability to overcome slight cornering deficiencies in the straights with not only the 200HP power difference but the ~800lb weight difference will impact the results. If you go back and look the Viper is a MONSTER because of the "low" weight.

Cliff Notes - The ZR1 is ~800 lbs lighter with 200 more HP... Downforce? maybe

Downforce is a different question entirely, the GTD has both more peak downforce and less straight line downforce thanks to its active aero vs the static aero on the ZR1
