i honestly was just going to look, never seen one in real life and i didn’t want a white car but man when i saw this thing i fell in love!

I had been cross shopping a few manuals and the issue I was having was actually finding one I could see in person. No vehicles at the dealerships. Went to the auto show, no M2, Supra locked up, no Blackwing, I did see enough of the BRZ, WRX, GR Corolla to confirm not for me. I spent a good portion of time at the ford booth looking at the Bronco's for a friend looking at trucks.

When I got home I was kicking myself for not thinking about the Dark Horse more seriously. I started researching and liked what I was seeing, When I saw your car was local I got to check it out. I knew that the weather was poor for a drive and had it been warmer they would have offered, but I did power her up to see the dash and row the gears a bit.

I drove the GT manual they had on the lot just to get a feel for body style and was sold.

I ordered a magenta one (a change from my typical blue and request from my wife), manual, with the premium pack and red calipers. I am jealous you are driving before me

Well guys, today I went in to look at a new 24 Dark Horse Tremec. Fell in love and traded in my 21 10-speed Mach 1 that I've had for 4 years.
The Mach 1 was perfect and I had a lot of money into it but just could not live with the 10-speed anymore, no matter what I did to make it better.
The Touch screens are amazing! The Tremec is a dream! And I got a sick deal , like $9k under exact 25 build, $4k under sticker.
Can't wait to throw a h-pipe on and maybe Steeda intake.
Really was a hater of the interior and exterior before but once I actually saw the car and experienced it I realized I was wrong, big time!

My case is was my modded GT/CS with the 10spd.. Had to get back in a stick and im loving my decision! Also got 9k off sticker of my 24! Enjoy they are fast AF! Remove the carbon traps. 1st free MOD!

I honestly don't think Ford will offer a tune ever, they didn't for the Mach 1 . The DH and Mach 1 is Ford Performance tuned imo.
Wengerd is close to having tune and he is the best.

If some independent tuner did in fact “crack the code” I can’t imagine sacrificing the warranty for an unproven experiment. I’m telling you guys who haven’t driven one, this car is faster than it looks on paper and has gobs of torque.

Now if you can actually use more than 500 hp where you are, OK. I cannot. And this car was made for two lane mountain roads; they’re not the most fun on the interstate. The fastest street driver on the planet can only go so fast without hitting somebody else or going to jail.

And even Ford itself hasn’t been able to coax more than 526 hp out of a small displacement NA engine without invoking the Gods of Unexpected Flyaparts. I just don’t think I see the upside. Neither did Ford, and that’s probably why they’re locked.

Having had multiple Ford tunes, they do more than add HP. They change almost everything. trans (auto), throttle response and driving modes. And it wasn't the 20 peak HP that I was able to use on the street, but the low rpm 20-40 ft-lbs of torque that was very useable. But then i live in a rural area and can stretch the DH legs out regularly.

There is an advantage anytime you remove restriction and there are other Dyno videos showing a small increase.
You paid for the power why not be able to use all of it.
Your pony .. Your choice. All Dynos read differently depending on the day and type.

I took it easy, roads still have a lot of salt on them.

You’re gonna love that dark horse they’re great cars. I have a GT and I love it.
I feel sorry for you people that live in the East. . They don’t use all that salt on the roads here in Colorado. They don’t use hardly any salt but they use that damn Mag chloride, which Drys quickly when the sun comes out. We get plenty of Sun in the Winter.
My cousin lives in Michigan. He says all the cars are rusted out not the case in Colorado.

I also sold my 21 GT Premium (Roush Supercharged) which was an A10 for the Dark Horse with the 6 speed! You gonna love that h-pipe sound. I have a fair bit of steeda gear and a Whipple being installed in April. Welcome to the Light Horse club
