Blink twice if your wife has you hostage and made you say those things! All these guys are using logic and reason… I’ll be the one to say follow your heart and spend your money on whatever you want.
is it smart to follow my advice, in your situation? No. Will you be happier if you swap vehicles? Maybe. If it’s worth the $$ to you, send it.
You can always take your’ new to you DH. to your dealer and see what they say.The only reasons I can think of at the moment is a new clutch, fresh tires, and a free day at the Track Attack program.
I'm looking over the market right now and I think it would be tough to net more than $73K on my car. I could throw it up on BaT with a reserve and see what happens, but I would need to pay $100-430 on the listing.
The more i think about it, the more it seems unfeasible for a dealership to accept a straight swap AND give me some sort of rebate or check for $2-3K to help cover the PPF and ceramic coating. Especially with the price incerases on the car now since March 2023, they can just list it for $76K and find someone to buy it or auction it off. I could be wrong, but a part of me wants to drive up there when it arrives and see what the dealership thinks. I've been in close contact with them for 18 months and they really put in the effort in terms of hounding Ford for an allocation. I already have a $2K rebate on the order in result of them nagging Ford for months on in.
