It’s interesting that on the 22-23 Mach 1’s it had proven 10hp gain by removing the trap by a few different people testing.

Not sure how DH is different but that video was only one I’ve seen that someone actually did the before and after with results.
Seems to me with 2 throttle bodies maybe the manifold can only bring in so much air that the traps aren’t as much of a restriction.
Just my 2 cents

Really …. I guess your an expert
When someone does back to back runs on the same dyno on the same day with the same car, it doesn’t require an expert to recognize the validity.

I have no scientific idea but I’d say that makes sense.

I pulled mine, saw ZERO gains at the track in ET/MPH… I’m sure the dyno stuff people post was accurate, but it doesn’t recreate actually moving in the real world.

I’d recommend driving it a while before thinking about mods, tunes, etc. I can’t tell you how or why but I can tell you that the engine has a way different feel from my ‘23 Machs. Something about the power delivery of this engine into the Tremec and 3.73s, well, you’ll see. It’s possible you may have all you need. It’s fast AF. And again, I don’t know how or why but it’s decidedly louder than the Mach 1.

And BTW I have caliper envy!
In your opinion regarding the exhaust, is the Mach 1 with H-pipe louder or same as stick DH?

Wow, that’s a good question that I’m not qualified to answer never having driven a Mach 1 with any kind of res delete. I thought about doing it many times since I really like loud (I run 100% of the time in track mode, period) but always chickened out due to problems keeping the exhaust tips level, potential warranty concerns, and so on. Plus, these things just sound SO good stock (again, in track mode only) and there’s no real performance gain.

But here’s what I can tell you: my first ‘24 was a regular GT with AVE and I kept thinking to myself, this dang thing is louder than my ‘23 Mach 1s. Then one day we’re going down the road and my wife, who might or might not notice if the entire exhaust system fell off in the street, said “you know, this GT is louder than your Machs”. She was right. Then along came the ‘24 DHs, and they’re even louder than the ‘24 GT. I have no idea why but there’s no mistaking it.

So you might want to drive it a while before changing anything. Or maybe not, your call. But I’m telling anybody who cares these things are loud and fast bone stock. Maybe that’s Fast and Loud, I don’t know.

I think you were the gentleman on the DH Owners group on FB who gave me a thumbs up for Freyja :) Pretty sure that avatar pic is the one you posted!

Having had a 21 GT (with AVE and supercharged) and now a 24 DH (also with AVE and also soon to be supercharged) I can tell you that cold starts are noticably louder in the DH until it idles down.

Then I went and added an H Pipe....

Cold starts are now pretty loud until it warms up. Not "blow your ear drums out like you've got an H Pipe + Kooks Headers + Corsa Extreme" level loud but more than stock for sure.

The DH and the GT sound different for a few reasons but two of them are the calibration and the mufflers are different.

I had been cross shopping a few manuals and the issue I was having was actually finding one I could see in person. No vehicles at the dealerships. Went to the auto show, no M2, Supra locked up, no Blackwing, I did see enough of the BRZ, WRX, GR Corolla to confirm not for me. I spent a good portion of time at the ford booth looking at the Bronco's for a friend looking at trucks.

When I got home I was kicking myself for not thinking about the Dark Horse more seriously. I started researching and liked what I was seeing, When I saw your car was local I got to check it out. I knew that the weather was poor for a drive and had it been warmer they would have offered, but I did power her up to see the dash and row the gears a bit.

I drove the GT manual they had on the lot just to get a feel for body style and was sold.

I ordered a magenta one (a change from my typical blue and request from my wife), manual, with the premium pack and red calipers. I am jealous you are driving before me :)
Congratulations!

If I can ask, did they give you an estimated timeframe for delivery?

They did not, their allocation was one and I guessed it was in the 3-5 month range. They cashed my deposit last week, I called today and they said that it was still in their system waiting for Ford to pick it up. It has the standard priority 19 and tbh I am not that much in a hurry given the crappy weather here. I was hoping I might get it in June.

Well guys, today I went in to look at a new 24 Dark Horse Tremec. Fell in love and traded in my 21 10-speed Mach 1 that I've had for 4 years.
The Mach 1 was perfect and I had a lot of money into it but just could not live with the 10-speed anymore, no matter what I did to make it better.
The Touch screens are amazing! The Tremec is a dream! And I got a sick deal , like $9k under exact 25 build, $4k under sticker.
Can't wait to throw a h-pipe on and maybe Steeda intake.
Really was a hater of the interior and exterior before but once I actually saw the car and experienced it I realized I was wrong, big time!

I’m telling you guys who haven’t driven one, this car is faster than it looks on paper and has gobs of torque.
Agree. The car is so refined, maybe doesn't FEEL as fast, but when i get on it, I'm always surprised when I glance down at the speedo... and it gets there quick.
And this car was made for two lane mountain roads; they’re not the most fun on the interstate.
Referring to following the dips and divots or the fact that you have to hold back that right pedal until the next on ramp?
