When someone does back to back runs on the same dyno on the same day with the same car, it doesn’t require an expert to recognize the validity.Really …. I guess your an expert
I have no scientific idea but I’d say that makes sense. It’s interesting that on the 22-23 Mach 1’s it had proven 10hp gain by removing the trap by a few different people testing.
Not sure how DH is different but that video was only one I’ve seen that someone actually did the before and after with results.
Seems to me with 2 throttle bodies maybe the manifold can only bring in so much air that the traps aren’t as much of a restriction.
Just my 2 cents
Precisely.Seems to me with 2 throttle bodies maybe the manifold can only bring in so much air that the traps aren’t as much of a restriction.
In your opinion regarding the exhaust, is the Mach 1 with H-pipe louder or same as stick DH?I’d recommend driving it a while before thinking about mods, tunes, etc. I can’t tell you how or why but I can tell you that the engine has a way different feel from my ‘23 Machs. Something about the power delivery of this engine into the Tremec and 3.73s, well, you’ll see. It’s possible you may have all you need. It’s fast AF. And again, I don’t know how or why but it’s decidedly louder than the Mach 1.
And BTW I have caliper envy!
Wow, that’s a good question that I’m not qualified to answer never having driven a Mach 1 with any kind of res delete. I thought about doing it many times since I really like loud (I run 100% of the time in track mode, period) but always chickened out due to problems keeping the exhaust tips level, potential warranty concerns, and so on. Plus, these things just sound SO good stock (again, in track mode only) and there’s no real performance gain.In your opinion regarding the exhaust, is the Mach 1 with H-pipe louder or same as stick DH?
I think you were the gentleman on the DH Owners group on FB who gave me a thumbs up for FreyjaIn your opinion regarding the exhaust, is the Mach 1 with H-pipe louder or same as stick DH?
did you keep the same wheels? Thanks, it actually looks better in person. I'm keeping wheels, so i put rear tires on front and installed 305/35 Pirelli's on rear for now. Now just waiting for Ford to offer a tune !
Yes! Non HP. 275/40 ok for stock front rims and 305/35 max for stock rear wheels. Diameters close and new rear Pirelli"s are from Lamborghini.did you keep the same wheels?
Congratulations!I had been cross shopping a few manuals and the issue I was having was actually finding one I could see in person. No vehicles at the dealerships. Went to the auto show, no M2, Supra locked up, no Blackwing, I did see enough of the BRZ, WRX, GR Corolla to confirm not for me. I spent a good portion of time at the ford booth looking at the Bronco's for a friend looking at trucks.
When I got home I was kicking myself for not thinking about the Dark Horse more seriously. I started researching and liked what I was seeing, When I saw your car was local I got to check it out. I knew that the weather was poor for a drive and had it been warmer they would have offered, but I did power her up to see the dash and row the gears a bit.
I drove the GT manual they had on the lot just to get a feel for body style and was sold.
I ordered a magenta one (a change from my typical blue and request from my wife), manual, with the premium pack and red calipers. I am jealous you are driving before me![]()
Wow! Whqt a beauty. Use it well and in good health!Well guys, today I went in to look at a new 24 Dark Horse Tremec. Fell in love and traded in my 21 10-speed Mach 1 that I've had for 4 years.
The Mach 1 was perfect and I had a lot of money into it but just could not live with the 10-speed anymore, no matter what I did to make it better.
The Touch screens are amazing! The Tremec is a dream! And I got a sick deal , like $9k under exact 25 build, $4k under sticker.
Can't wait to throw a h-pipe on and maybe Steeda intake.
Really was a hater of the interior and exterior before but once I actually saw the car and experienced it I realized I was wrong, big time!

Agree. The car is so refined, maybe doesn't FEEL as fast, but when i get on it, I'm always surprised when I glance down at the speedo... and it gets there quick.I’m telling you guys who haven’t driven one, this car is faster than it looks on paper and has gobs of torque.
Referring to following the dips and divots or the fact that you have to hold back that right pedal until the next on ramp? And this car was made for two lane mountain roads; they’re not the most fun on the interstate.
